First, she was wonderful. I couldn't believe how friendly everyone in the office was. She had my records from my ob. She read about my ectopic in '01 and said if I had waited even a few minutes more before going to the ER I would have died. That was very scary. We went over the rest of my m/c's, she looked at a sampling of the 7.5 years of charts that I have, all the diagnostic testing I've had done and we talked a long time. Basically she said that I've had really good care from my ob and she could only "maybe" recommend repeating the hsg since I haven't had one done in 5 years, otherwise, she agrees with all the testing he's done and how he's treated me. So, in a way this was good news and in another I'm disappointed that she can't find something wrong to fix.

At the end she said, don't let anyone tell you that stress caused your m/c's or that any of this is "God's will. No God I believe in would want a child to have cancer or women to m/c." So, of course I left in tears.

My beta is finally 0, so I'll see my ob again next week to work out a plan.

I'm glad you had a good appointment today. I'm glad to hear she was so nice!

Are you going to have another HSG performed?? I hope they're able to give you some answers after that!!!

I'm sorry you left in tears!!!

Hi there,

I am so glad that you liked the RE. Did they rule out ANA, ACA and MTHFR? Have you gone to a maternal fetal medicine Dr for follow ups on what caused your miscarriages?

Just a suggestion in case you haven't.

I pray that you get a big fat POSTIVE very soon and that you have a healthy uneventful pregnancy. Having a loss is sooo tough, having five of them must be absolutely devastating. You are in my thoughts.

Hugs,

I have had all of those tests done with no/negative findings. I will have the hsg but I have to wait until my 1st after-m/c period to schedule it.

Well Lori, I have mixed emotions like I am sure you do. On one hand, I am glad that she agreed with how your doctor has been treating you and says that it sounds like he is doing all the right things! On the other hand, I really wish you had a new direction to go in!!!! There supposed to be able to fix anything up there, aren't they??

I am glad your beta is back to 0. Hope you get a good plan from your doctor next visit!

I am sorry she didn't have a new plan of attack for you...but maybe the HSG will be enough to give you that extra boost so you can get the sticky bean.

Lots of for you to save for your BFP month

I am glad the appt went well. She sound like a loving and smart doctor. I do wish she had more suggestions but in a sense it is good that she agrees with your OB. I hope that you get a nice BFP soon and have a continued healthy pregnancy. Are you going to TTC this next cycle?

I agree - I really wish they had more answers for you. Hopefully the HSG will do the trick!

Thanks for all the + thoughts. I woke up this morning to bleeding so I'm thinking today is the start of my first AF. I'm not exactly sure when we'll actively ttc, seems wrong to bd all the time with Cameron so sick, but at the same time, I don't want to wait much longer. I'm so confused and frustrated and sad and overwhelmed......

wow, it does sound like she was great. It's so nice to hear there are some supportive people still out there in the medical profession. I wish she'd had some more answers for you though...
