Okay, I've read on a few sites now about this so I figured I would pass this on. http://infertility.about.com/od/reproducti...emaleorgasm.htm

Basically the sites say that when a female orgasms the cervix sucks in the semen so its important to orgasm after the male orgasms or at the same time. Otherwise you wont get the extra suck action LOL

I know sometimes I orgasm once (or twice ) before Travis sometimes at the same time but not after so I'll have to time this better next time when we decide to TTC. Anyway, I thought you'd be interested in this quirky fact.

I've often wondered about this. The only problem I see with needing to O after your man is that well, you're kind of going to be on your own to get there unless you both O within a few seconds of each other. It's my experience anyway that DH tends to be pretty useless once the big O had hit him. heh. He'd totally kill me if he knew I was posting this. lol

I know exactly what you mean. I guess my plan is going to be to orgasm at the same time because like you say, dh is pretty useless afterwards.

There is no way he goes first and I go second. It just wont happen. Although the cordyceps keeps him quite "charged". I hope he doesn't find this post! LOL

I read the same thing the other day.. ive also ready something about NOT orgasming (sp? haha) BEFORE he does his thing because of the liquid it produces can kill the sperm.... i dunno

But i agree with everyone else on this.. my DH is completely useless after! how am i supposed to O after! i dont get it.. it would HAVE to be with in seconds...like id be almost there and have to wait until .. i dunno.. its just weird to me

I have a friend that says when they are TTC she makes about 30 minutes after he's done his business about her.. and tries to get multiples... ! ill have to get brave and ask her HOW the heck she does that...

only way i could figure was if i was litterally "on my own" ....sorry.. TMI

this thread is too funny! I have actually heard of that before, it's something about the contractions of the uterus that help propel the sperm forward. HOWEVER there are 2 types of orgasms . . . the kind with uterine contractions and the kind with clitoral/vaginal canal contractions. I knew I had 2 different kinds but to read about it on several medical sites was really interesting. Sad thing is I have only ever gotten the uterine kind in my sleep!!!!! I don't know why that happens, but whatever! At least they're nice to wake up to! *sigh* it's not like I ever get to worry about sperm swimming in anymore!
I am so sorry for you ladies who's DH is done when he's done . . . guess I got lucky in that dept!!! hehehe . . .

If only Travis could read this post

Victoria, I wouldn't worry at all. My friend is the same way so she just does it before during foreplay and then dh does it after. The thing is they have two kids about 1 year apart and she is in the 2ww and might be pregnant again (by accident). That would mean 3 kids under the age of 3! So not having an orgasm afterwards doesn't count too much, at least with them

I did read on the trying to concieve a specific gender forum, that if you want to try for a girl don't have an orgasm(women, obviously ).

Um yeah so I already knew this and I kind of plan the way we DTD around it. I've told Dh it is better for me to orgasm a little after him so he knows. So I guess I'm just very, er, in control of how close I am so I usually have the big O a few seconds after Dh. You are all right though, if you try to go TOO much after your Dh then things are hard (um, I mean, NOT hard ), especially if you have been BDing every day or every other day.

I figure it doesn't hurt to try and do this. BUT, I'm sure there are PLENTY of babies who have been conceived when the woman doesn't even O at all. No reason to obsess TOO much about it. We DTD with me on top last night even though I know him on top is better. Dh was like "oh the sperm need to swim anyway. This will weed out the ones that aren't strong".

And in case you're wondering, yes, my Dh would like I was either

A. Crazy
B. Way way way TMI

for posting this.

You know, I can honestly say I've never had one. Nope, never. ((Of course, I have some serious issues in my past that sort of inhibit that. I think I stop myself, actually, but I've never figured out how to get around that))

ANYWAY, I don't have a problem getting pregnant. But I HAVE had two girls, so.....

LOL! Okay I had to jump in here. I read this too and can relate to the...er...dilemma as my DH is comatose after he gets his. He does try to hold off until I get one but afterwards he's in la la land...LOL. So, in order to O after DH, I would have to either give him smelling salts or (TMI ALERT!!!) take matters into my own hands.
