My doc wants me to take clomid.. i do ovulate on my own... very regularly... My dr. is giving me clomid in the hopes of improving my egg quality and giving me a better, or stronger ovulation. Does it do something for those of us who do ovulate on our own. Every month I have ovulation cramps and am sure I ovulate in a good way..

Anyone with same experience?? I conceive twice, and always got a BFP after 2 cycles... I had both times miscarried.. all this happened in the past 7 months... First baby's heartbeat stopped at 9w after hearing it at 6w and the second one was a blighted ovum..

I think I am going to give it a GO and do what my doc says

i pretty much just lurk here. i ovulate on my own, and my RE has put me on clomid. i took it for 2 cycles and became pregnant, but unfortunately i still m/c right around 5 weeks. i take it so i have a better progesterone level after i ovulate. with my last 2 losses before the clomid, my progesterone was always low, under 10. after the clomid my first cycle was 21, and the second was 35.
what my RE said was that i do ovulate and that b/c the progesterone level was a little low, that the lining of my uterus wasn't adequate to support a pregnancy.

I was reading that Clomid thins the lining of the uterus.. Should I consider that something bad?

its a catch 22. I am starting clomid next cycle. Hopefully they will measure you lining. My cousin has clomid twins. Successful on her 4rd cycle (with one off). No issues with her lining. I read that if clomid doesn't work by cycle 3, then its wise to move onto injectables. Seems like in your case there is something else interferring with the pregnancy. I would have them check it out.
