Okay...

I just learned about how to check your cervix last month or so.. so i have been checking it this month.. and i have a few Qs... im actually pretty good at checking it and knowing if its low... or high..or closed..etc..

My Q is... does it get high and open ONLY on the day you O??? or is it High a few days before you O?? Does it stay high AFTER you O?? im just confused about how to tell when you are fertile by it.. i know how to check it...

Here's what ive noticed this month

CD 12.. Very High and soft..
CD 13.. High and soft.
CD 14 about middle still soft
CD 15 Low starting to close
CD 16 Low and definately closed...

IF i had started checking my cervix sooner would it probably have been Very High and soft on like CD 10 and 11???

according to my temps i supposedly Oed on CD 12 ..so that would have made me fertile on CDs 10 and 11... right??

Im just confused.. i need a fertility rundown of cervical positions and timing... help!?!

~Em

Hey Em I am going through the same thing right now and a little confused myself. From what I just read you cervix will be high when you are Oing and possible for a day after then it should return to low. Now I checked mine this Morning and it was so high I could not reach it. So I am wondering why it would still be high if I am suposed to be 4Dpo maybe I am Oing this late. I dont know I hate trying to figure my body out. Why cant it just tell me what the heck it is doing lol.

You can also ask on Fertility Charting, some of them know about cervix checking also.

Here is what I THINK my body does. I get high and soft the day before I ovulate and the day I ovulate, and then it starts to drop. If you look at my chart you can see I normally have two days of high and soft. (It's hard for me to tell if it's open or not.)

Now, last month, I think I actually Oed on CD 13 based on my cervical position and that my temps were just screwy. But who knows.

If all goes according to plan I should ovulate today. But I am confused because I have not gotten any positive OPKs. I have only been doing OPKs in the mornings though and that may have screwed it up, but normally I will get a close to positive OPK the day I ovulate.
