I spoke to my OB today about my concerns that I might have hashimoto's disease (autoimmune disease that affects thyroid) and she helped me clarify my TTC schedule and told me that we would test for thyroid antibodies when I come in. I guess I could have been "trying on my own" this last month. That sucks big time, I am sure I just O'ed either saturday or sunday. We had an impromptu BD this afternoon after our out of town company left. I updated her on my delayed post m/c AF (54days) and we talked about why that probably happened. She feels like this next AF would be good to go ahead and start clomid. I think I am freaking out again. LOL. Anyway, I watched Jon and Kate plus 8. That gives me reassurance. I asked Dan if he thought that we should start clomid this cycle or wait one more. He feels like we should go for it now. It made me happy to see that he is soo on board. Then we talked about the BIGGER stuff. Like debt, our plans for paying ourselves out of debt (thanks to my million dollar dog expense), tightening our budget, and buying a house in another city and state, like Austin Texas. We are actually going to visit my friends, who moved there last July, this weekend. So, I am setting up a new budget, and placing about 1/3 of our income into savings, 1/3 for household bills, and 1/3 for paying off bills. Our goal is to buy a house by the end of the year, have 90% of our debt paid off and have a baby. wooo! Anyone else trying to make big changes?

Those are all important things you are tackling, and I know it can be overwhelming, but it sounds like you all have good heads on your shoulders and are making some great decisions.
That is great that DH is so on board with going for it right now.
Oh, and I think you should definitely move to Austin. I love that town- it is fabulous! I have a friend who lives there as well and we stop by to see him whenever we go to San Antonio or Padre. I think it would be a nice place to raise a family.

Sounds like a good plan! I think the Clomid only raises your chances of twins though, not of other multiples.
I used to live in Austin. I miss it. Dh and I were talking about it just this past weekend.

Definitely better than Los Angeles, CA! Being a midwest girl myself, I want to be in a place where it's easier to instill good values. LA is just too materialistic and the kids just "mature" a little too quick for my taste.

I am sooo excited about going this weekend. We have a meeting with a realtor. My friend just signed papers on a 2500 sq ft house, new construction, for 260K. I found one 1700 sq ft . 3bdrm. It's right around 200K. I am going to look at it when I am there. We think that we might even be able to buy it now, and rent it out for a yr. Then move. We have another friend moving there at the end of this month. So, even maybe a prospective renter. And she is a neat and tidy freak! LOVE it! LOL. As for clomid and multiples, I wouldn't mind twins. Might need to move in with one of ya'll for a year! I love it when I can put a plan into action.

That's awesome, Steph, that you got so much info from your OB and that your dh is so on board for TTC.
And, I am super impressed with your planning. I hope it all works out really well for you financially and I sincerely hope you get a sticky BFP quickly!!

Wow, things are really exciting for you right now! How great would it be for you to find out you are pregnant and find a new home in the same month!
