So I had my appointment today. It was so neat. The guy was real nice and I could tell he had been practicing for a long time. He spoke to me for a while and then we got started. He said after all the tests that my lower like uterus area is registering cold and not really a temp codusive to pregnancy. Then he stared the needles and magnets and burning mugwort on pressure points. Anyway, he said something about my kidneys and spleen fuction to get back on track but I don't remember exactly what LOL. You know, it is weird but on my drive home and even now I feel REAL warm/hot down in my ovary/uterus area (I promise it is not all in my mind LOL). Anyway I told him what herbs a I am taking and he wants to put me on a specific dosage system and a combo of some other Chinese herbs. He is going to put something together for me so I am excited for that. I will definately go back. I really enjoyed it but I must say that the burning of hte mugwort smells a bit like mj. I went to Arbys to get a sandwich after and I was thinking to myself that the people probably think I have been smoking mj and as I was thinking this I looked over to my purse on the passenger seat and saw that I had a huge bag of red clover and pepperment leaves peaking out of my purse so then I figured the people at the drive through most definately thought I was high LOL I was so embarrassed.

I'm glad it went well. I've been curious about acupunture - keep us posted on all the details and the herbs he prescribes for you.

LOL about the "herbal" smell!

I've seriously considered doing accupuncture. I think when I'm done with school in May and have a real job finally, I'm going to pursue it!! Its strange, I've always had this nagging feeling I should try it ever since I've become more familiar with it through school, and recently I've had pretty much complete strangers bring it up to me, and tell me I should do it.....hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

That sounds really cool. I have talked to 2 people recently IRL that have started doing acupuncture specifically for fertility issues. I really hope you get great results. It's great that you liked him and sounds like you really have confidence in him! KUP on everything.

And, I was totally LMBO about the smell thing...too funny!

Told you that you would like it! I like the smell of my acupuncturist office.... hmm... I wonder what they burn! LOL I don't think it's MJ! I know that acupuncture wise, I have spleen and liver deficiency. I find the whole experience relaxing. Well, there are a few points that I don't like, but after they are in, I am good for a nap. And I look like something straight out of "hell raiser"! Danice, I think I will rename you Mary Jane.

Thanks girls. It really was pretty cool!

Stephanie, you crack me up.

Em, it depends on what you consider expensive LOL. The first visit is pricy because they spend extra time speaking with you. It was $120 for 1.5 hours and then every visti after is $70 but you can buy package deals to get discounted rates. So yeah, it will add up quick but I felt so different afterwards and I am totally into this stuff that I will just hold off treating myself to a few lunches and dinners and shopping to make up the difference. He'd like me to go once a week but I am not going to do that. Initially I'll go every two weeks and then cut down to once a month. Travis would throw a fit if I went every week. I am going to speak with him about it this week to get his buy in to go every 2 weeks.

Shauna, I don't know where in Colorado your from (I think you said you were from here) but if you are in the Littleton area I would recommend going to the Whole Health center. The guy the does accupuncture there is very experienced (even lived in 3 different countries studying) and he is a director at the Chinese School of Medicine so it is his job to make sure that only qualified accupunctuists graduate.

Danica,

Sounds like your trip was truely beneficial. I hope that he can get you straightened out and that you conceive a sticky bean soon. As for you bag and smell, I LMBO, I sure you were deffinately on a natural high so who knows what the drive through people were thinking. Heck though it's always fun to keep 'em guessing right!?

My mom lives in CO too, and she was going to an acupuncturist too...she said it really helped her. She was put on some special herbs too, and the guy told her to eat chocolate, so she really liked him lol!
