I called the Dr and my bloodwork was 'perfect' Yay!

She said my levels were <2. It is such a relief, I was scared they would come back and say I need a D&C, or to wait longer to TTC

She is writing me out my proof of miscarriage, but she even said she has never had to do that before. She didn't know what to put because she doesn't want to disclose any of my medical information. She is just going to write I had a m/c on 12/11/07, the day I got the bad news.

Now I just have to drive out and get the letter and then go back to dealing with stupid WIC I am gonna hurt someone if I don't get the benefits after all this

Update

I went to get my Drs not and decided to stop by WIC to get an appt and make sure this note was enough. She said it was, but they don't have 'that kind' of appt until the 12th. OK fine, whatever.

Then she tells me I have to bring my proof of income and residency and everything AGAIN. They won't use your old info you have to re-apply altogether.

This would be fine, but...without me being pregnant we make to much. How I don't know, but for getting paid every two weeks DH makes $65 too much

However if he got paid twice monthly then he makes $16 under. So I don't know if I can convince them he gets paid twice monthly??? I don't know what to do. Is it even worth going?

It's so dumb, he makes that much, but it's not what he brings home and it doesn't really cover the bills.....

I just feel like all this has been for nothing, draining my time, energy, gas and most of all my emotions...grrrrr

Yay for bloodwork results. WAHOO!

She's right about the note. It is disclosing medical info and I can't believe that WIC can request something like this. I'd feel like throwing it at them once I was at WIC!

I'm glad your blood work came back!!! I'm happy to hear that it's less than 2!!!

That's really stupid of WIC to do that, I can't believe they're asking for proof of m/c, when they didn't ask for proof of pregnancy!

I hope the note shuts them up!

This is really stupid. I'm sorry honey. My WIC here in ID doesn't require proof of miscarriage.

That's rediculous, every two weeks is basically the same as twice a month anyway, at least for most months. Besides that why did they tell you that you could get m/c benefits and go through all the agony if they knew you would have to re-qualify. I think it is rediculous that you have to re-qualify anyway. Your m/c is a part of the same pg and it's not two seperate events. Qualifying for one should mean qualifying for the other. I would just tell them that all you originally called for was to let them know that you had m/c and to quit calling you. That it is really unfair for them to drag you through all the turmoil and emotions 2 months later when you were just starting to heal. Besides that now if you don't qualify you just went and had an unecessary blood test and created yourself an unecessary bill all because WIC told you that you would get benefits. Some people just really don't get it, do they?

Sorry that they put you through all this and I hope that they still give you your benefits after all they have put you through.
Hugs,

By the time I get it all sorted out I will be pg again

Of course then I will probably have to re-re-qualify

I just wouldn't worry about it until you get pregnant again if I were you. Honestly, WIC frustrated me so much when I was pregnant. They didn't really give me what I needed (um, like BREAD), and I'm lactose intolerant when pregnant and they didn't believe me. So dumb. So they were giving me 5 gallons of milk a month that MADE ME THROW UP.

Of course, I like WIC now since they give me $120 worth of formula every month.

I'm glad your numbers were all good. Sorry you had to deal with all the stupidness of the WIC people - sometimes I just hate government agencies!

That's so dumb that you have to re-apply for it! You're the same person!

I hope everything works out and you get what you need!!

Glad your bloodwork came back well.

Wish WIC wasn't such a pain. It will be worth it, though, if you can deal with all the headaches... g/l
