Wanted to update you

So, now that I'm alllll caught up on the posts, I wanted to update you on what happened this weekend. Forgive me if it gets long!

Friday started off with a flipping SNOW STORM!!! I didn't want to wait for Dwayne to come home to get me (to take me to his parent's place) so I went on my own. Took public transit. Ended up seeing 3 cars in the ditches!!! I was certainly happy to be on a bus rather than in a car! Got there no problem, a little off schedule, but no biggie. Did some MAJOR cardio trekking my butt through the snow though! Was very tired!!

Markus was also down this passed weekend, and he's just getting worse and worse. He doesn't listen to ANYTHING I ask him/say to him. He broke his aunt's Christmas gift from her NOW ex-BF! She was VERY upset about it! Markus bawled and bawled because she punished him. Then he ran to ME to save him! Dwayne arrived, and he was NOT impressed that he broke it!!!

That all happened on Friday!!

Saturday Markus' mother called and said she wanted another CS payment. Ummmm, what?!?! You got one on Friday!!! She's sooo crazy!!!! Threatened to "only send him once a month if I don't get the money" Needlesstosay the message she left WAS saved, and Dwayne didn't send the money! She really has no idea what she's in for when Dwayne takes her to court soon!

Sunday was the SUPERBOWL!!! We went to a party, it was really nice! We had to drop Markus off first, and then we went. Dwayne and Markus' mom got into an arguement when he was dropped off. I pulled Markus away from the whole situation, he doesn't need to see that!!! Apparently she was crying big whoop!!!

Sunday morning we DTD, and I wasn't into it at all. I've been with Dwayne for almost a year now, and for the first time, I wasn't interested in DTD with him. I could tell that he knew, but that didn't stop him. Go figure!

Today I'm soooooo beat!!!! I went shopping earlier, and did some retail therapy!! It was great!!! I bought a pair of "skinny" jeans, a nice sweater like shirt, and two tank tops!!! All for $150! Thanks HUBBY!!! He didn't work today, so, he took me shopping!!!! I had to come home and take a cat nap, then eat dinner, then nap again!

Tomorrow I'm babysitting my cousin's baby girl!!! I'm soooooo excited!!!! I love her sooo much!!

Anyway, that's my horrendus (sp?) weekend!!! Hope I didn't bore you!!!

That does sound so stressful. I'm sorry you have to deal with a crazy lady and a misbehaving stepson (he is a stepson right?)

Anyway, aren't you glad it's over?

Yes, he is my step-son. I'm veryyyyyy glad that the weekend is over!! That's for sure!!!

Yikes. At least there was a silver lining -- SHOPPING! Glad the rest of it is over. Hopefully everyone will get back to normal soon.

you know, Markus is probably acting out because it is a big adjustment for him that you two are are married even though you have been in his life for awhile. Sometimes children act out with the step parent because they feel that person is taking the other parent away..KWIM??
maybe you could try a 1 on 1 day with Markus, take him out maybe to lunch or shopping to reassure him you are there for him too !!

Ugh - I so hate stressful weekends. That's supposed to be the relaxing down time to get you through the week! At least you got to go shopping - that's always a plus!

I've thought a lot lately, that he's having a really hard time adjusting to me. And I can definitely accept it, but he's just SO rude that it drives me nuts. The only thing that works is "I'm telling daddy" when I say that to him, he stops and listens to me. I HATE having to say that to him! I think I'm going to get him a new LeapSter game and play with him. Hopefully that will work!

Oh and the retail therapy is soooooooo what I needed!!!

Jessica. Sorry you had a rough weekend, but glad you got some new clothes to top it off!

Glad you're back...this place is just not the same without you!
