Anyone know how to use OPKs as early HPTs

I know you can use OPKs as a type of HPT but was not sure how this works / when you can try testing?

I didn't understand the info on peeonastick.com so asking the experts here!

my advice - don't do it! well, not as a real test anyway.

you will get 2 lines and the test line will be lighter than the control line, just like early HPT's look. But this is just the leftover LH in your system. I *think* (not sure) in order for it to work as a HPT the line has to be like it is for the OPK, as dark or darker than the control to be considered positive.

But I *think* (not sure) you'd get a response earlier with an early HPT than you would using an OPK.

OKAY so i peed on an OPK just now... and if i didnt already know i was pregnant i would totally think i was ovulating because the line is darker... not even the same, darker, than the control line...

That was fun!!! im glad i had an OPK left over!!! thanks for the idea!
