After several days of debating, and negotiating a deal on one of the houses, we have opted to slow down and wait until the end of the year to move Austin and purchase our home. We will be in a much better place financially and we wont be rushing everything. Plus, I kept finding things I didn't like about the new house. Anyway, We may opt to move out during the summer, but if we do, we would rent an apartment and then buy a house after we get there. Factors might change depending on when and if I get my big fat positive.

Its good that you and dh are thinking things through. The last thing you want to do is make a hasty decision so if there is any doubt it's better to be safe than sorry. And with the way the market is going you'll probably get an even better deal next year.
