Well, lets just say that today isn't my favorite day. My ovaries were "quiet". I have learned that "quiet" isn't the word you want to hear when you are TTC at the age of 38. During the ultrasound, You couldn't see where I ovulated on my right side, and you could see a small new follicle. On my left side (which was much harder to see this time) she could see any follies. Thus the word "quiet". If I don't see any follies, Clomid will be unsuccessful. So, now she is worried that my FSH is elevated. This month last year I had an elevated FSH of 11. My repeat was 6.9. So today we drew blood for a FSH and E2 level. She will call me in the AM. My OB's thoughts are that I might have to move to injectables (which I wonder if should bypass clomid and do injectables just for age factor). She also mentioned IVF. I told her that IVF wasn't an option. She did tell me that a clinic here is doing a study in which it looks like it would be free. It seems like I would qualify except I don't know what my BMI is. It has to be less than 34, and I have gained weight (thanks to this new thyroid issue that is being diagnosed). Here is the link if anyone is interested.

I do have a consultation with an RE tomorrow. My acupuncturist works with him as well, and he has agreed to see me for free. I like free. Tomorrow afternoon I have an appointment with a regular endocrinologist to check out my thyroid. Hopefully, I can start treatment soon. Down side with her is that she is "out of network". That's lovely! Thats my day in a nutshell.. well, DF did his taxes. That was ugly! hate the irs.
