Hello, ladies. I have been checking in and out here. I had a m/c January 13. Emotionally, I feel like I am findin peace and healing, which is a huge relief. I went through one weekend feeling extremely depressed, but it felt like it was the hormones more than anything. Anyway, I am feeling much better now, and I was very surprised when AF returned this past Friday (26 days after the m/c started). I only had about 17 days between when the bleeding had completely stopped and AF returned. I wasn't expecting it so soon. Just wondering if this is normal, if there is such a thing!

I am sorry for your loss. I had two m/c and each one was different. It took me several months to return to normal after the 1st one and only 3 weeks after the 2nd one. The doctor told me it depends on how long it takes the hormones to go back to "normal." I have to assume I got back on track faster the second time because I was only about 5 1/2 weeks along. I have read that most women can get back on track sooner if they have an early m/c. Good luck TTC!

I'm so sorry about your loss. My period returned exactly 26 days after the actual miscarriage. So I guess we are in the same boat and I bled about 10 days after the m/c. My first period after m/c lasted about 10 days as well and was super light. I hope all goes well with you and that you get your BFP quickly.

Hi hun.. welcome!

I think it is normal to have no normalcy or no right or wrong answer right now.

Personally for me it took 42 days for AF to come and I had just started taking progesterone to make her come. I was 11wk2days pregnant when I had my D&C, so maybe that had something to do with it. I don't know, but I think it's great that she already showed for you. I know I felt like I waited forever for her to come.

Good luck!

I am sorry for your loss. I had my m/c in August and D&C August 24. I didn't get my first af until November 11. I was only 7 weeks preg. So, if you got yours already, I say great. I hope you have much luck ttc and get a quick bfp.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

My first m/c came 32 days after I passed all tissue, 36 from start of spotting / 28 days from end of bleeding. This one I am still waiting. I had brown tinged cm this weekend but nothing since. It's been 21 days since I passed all tissue.

Sorry for your loss. You are as normal as anyone. It sounds like you are on track with AF as much as can be.

I'm sorry for your loss - it stinks to have to go through, but I'm glad AF returned quickly for you. My first post m/c AF came only 23 days after my m/c. I actually called the doctors office b/c I didn't know if I should count it b/c it was so quick. They said it counted and that it all depends on hormones.

I'm still waiting on AF to return. It's been 30 days since my m/c and I'm still spotting off and on. It's taking a really long time for the HCG to leave my system even though I was only about 7 weeks pregnant.

I think everybody is just different!

Thanks for your replies, ladies. Sounds like it can really vary, but I was glad to see that some of your experiences have been similar. I think we will wait to TTC until one more cycle from our doctor's recommendation, so I am glad that it didn't take long. Many thanks to you all, and good luck as you TTC. I will try to check back in from time to time!
