You know, just wondering. I sometimes would like to say some things, but don't because I'd rather it not be public.

Like what topics? I know they setup a private forum for Astrid's baby shower stuff so I am sure it's possible. But probably everyone here would join it so it would be pretty publick if you kwim. Just no lurkers...

Then we could ALL post pics of Cm.
Seriously, I'd be interested in a private forum.

Ha Shannon, I do that without a private forum. I guess I have no modesty LOL But I totally post in a private forum too. I'd be curious how less modest everyone would be then

Well, I'd probably be less modest. I've thought about posting a pic of my CM and asking if it is a normal amount compared to others, because I really have no idea what "normal" is. I just know what is normal for me.
Plus, as Brittanie said, there might be some things I'd like to say that I wouldn't want public. Sometimes I really feel like pouring my heart out and I don't just want anyone out there to be able to read it.

I would definately have been more comfortable posting my cm in a private forum and would love to be able to post more stuff like that to, like you said, see if it is normal.
Tosha / Bobbie, what do you think?

I don't know that I really care if there is a private forum, but I would still post there if there was one.
How would they decide who was allowed in?

I'd be more willing to post pictures.
I'd still post in both places though.
Maybe you'd have to have a certain number of posts? I'm not sure how you'd do it.[/b]

on the picture thing!! There's a reason as to why I DON'T post pics!!!
I'd be up for the forum!!!

I think it would be a good idea, too many nuts out there !
my ddc has one, I think the post requirement is a little high, they have it at 250, and active member for 3 months...
some ladies who are newer may really need to talk privately and that post count is high for a newbie, kwim?
I think 125 posts is good, but thats jmo.

I agree that 250 is too high. I could do the 125 posts though. I'm almost to 100 now. I don't want to be left out! I better get to posting!!!!

My PR's private forum is just 100 posts. Plus they also say "for regular members" of our PR, so the hosts won't give the password to the forum unless you've posted a bit in our PR, regardless of your number of posts.

I wouldn't mind a private forum... I never post pix, other than HPTs just b/c of the craziness I've read about online I like the idea of having a 'regular member' requirement also.

I wouldn't mind it either (that is if i get me dh on board with ttc )
I have heard of crazyness like JM members stalking in real life.
That is a reason I am leary to add a picture in my signature.
I would like to feel a little more secure with certain items.

The only thing is we have to make sure to still post in the regular forum. We don't want newcomers to feel unwelcome.
My old DDC started one also, but I feel like I shouldn't ask for the password. I feel like I'm no longer with them anymore anyway. It's not anything they said it was just something small they did. Oh well.

Jenn you are correct
We can't just make a private forum and then exclude the general TTCAL forum.

a private forum is not really for general posts, but more for private, intimate or very personal posts, so I dont think we will really have to worry about excluding the other members. I don't think any subforum could keep us from posting in public ! LOL
