When I talked to my new dr last night he wants me to come in Friday for a repeat u/s & lab to see how things are progressing. So I call today to schedule that, and I am used to always just calling and they say they have xx date/time available, will that work, etc.

Well these guys don't do that! You call in, and they take all your info, including what the dr said, and then they turn over the info to the nurses, who will then pull your file, and then the nurses themselves will call you back to schedule once they go over your file! Holy crap! I am so glad I finally got someplace that is going to be thorough for everything!!

What my doctor's office does is, they will write me a form for the u/s, and then I go down to make the appointment. By the time I'm up at the desk speaking with the receptionist, she knows my name and everything! My doctor faxes a quick note down letting them know! I assume my file gets sent down as well.

I'm glad you're finally getting taken care of the way you SHOULD be!!!!

I actually have 1 nurse from my dr.s office that I deal with...for everything! LOL.....it is awesome, they are so much more helpful than a receptionist.
and they even call me as soon as ANY type of blood work results come in, they get all excited when things look good....lol

I love it! My OB's office lost one of her nurses, and they have been using temps. Well, I had to walk the temp through what she needed to do. Even my OB complained about the inefficiency. I am happy you found an office that is good!

Where I go it's in between. Everyone in that office is VERY nice. They all know me by name. I guess it's cause I am there 1-2 times a month for a year now! LOL

When I call for an apt. they don't pull the file though, just make the apt.

I'm a little frustrated, they haven't called back yet. But it IS an awfully big file, I've seen it!
Ugh. Now we're supposed to get another big storm starting tonight. I don't want to have to drive on crappy roads for over an hour one-way on Friday!
