I took a test on Friday (3 actually) and got BFP's all 3. Then Sunday I began spotting (enough to fill a pantyliner all day). But it was brown, never red. We went to the ER (no cramping or pain at all). They said my HCG levels were at 38, I should have been about 5 weeks along then. They said that was low.
I have no symptoms anymore. I go back tomorrow.
I know in my heart I lost it. But why am I bleeding brown still? I just want it to stop.
Anyone had an experience like this?
(I thought this would be the best forum to post on, I'm usually posting on Am I pregnant.)
Thank you everyone.
Bobbi

Hi Bobbi,
So sorry you are going through this. I had several days of brown bleeding before my m/c actually happened. But don't give up, there is always a chance. Many women have spotting all during their pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies. Is there a chance you Oed late and that is the reason your HCG was so low?

Hmmm..could very well just be implantation bleeding left over. It's not red, and you're not having clots or cramping, so it doesn't sound like a "typical" miscarriage. Your hCG being at 38 for 5 weeks isn't low, sounds quite normal to me. Do you know when you ovulated????
I hope this helps Bobbi!!! Please do not stress over this!!!! It's still very early in your pregnancy!

My experience wasn't like that it was later. Is it possible you weren't as far as you thought? If not then those numbers aren't good
As for bleeding most ladies will still bleed after the actual m/c hopefully it won't last long

Thank you all. I have a lot of questions for my doctor tomorrow morning. It will be nice to know my HCG numbers. I feel as if I've accepted the M/C but there is always that small chance that I'm still pregnant and it will be nice to know for sure.
There is no way I was less than 4 weeks along. I know exactly when we DTD, it was only twice last month.
I just don't feel pregnant at all.
I'm really trying to be strong and accept that it wasn't meant to be. But I'm really sad too, we really want a baby and after seeing that positive HPT it's hard.
I know you all know what I mean. And it helps so much to be able to talk with you all.
Thank you very much. I'll post tomorrow about my dr visit.

The ER doctor called it a "threatened miscarriage."
Are miscarriages genetic? My grandmother and both aunts had at least one. They all went on to have 3 children (my grandmother 4). I take after that side of the family, so I wonder if they are genetic?
My grandmother and her daughter (my aunt) miscarried at 6 months, I should say had a stillborn.
I never knew the worry pregnant women went through. I thought when you got pregnant, the worry was over.
Oh well, let's hope for a Christmas baby!!

I'm so sorry for your loss, i can see why they said the numbers were low, mine were like 295 and i was supposed to be 6 weeks which is no where near what the should be. My m/c in December my levels were 55 and they said that was low, that i was less the 4 weeks but i know i my O date and i should have been 5 weeks 2 days. I'm really sorry for you loss!

I am so sorry for what you are going through, I dont know if miscarriages are genetic.
I really hope that everything is just fine and you did not in fact miscarry.
You are in my thoughts!

I'm sorry you're going through this!!!!
I'm not too sure about m/c being genetic. My mother did have one though, she later went onto have me.
I wish when we get pregnant, we have nothing to worry about, just how much clothes we want to buy for the baby!!!
I wish you the best during your TTC journey!!!

I'm sorry you are going through this...I can tell you what I've gone through:
I started having light pink CM on Saturday and it slowly progressed Sunday into bright red bleeding. By 2am it was very heavy and there were clots.
I was 5 weeks on Sunday...
I know everyone is different, but the brown color has me thrown off. I hope you're not m/c'ing!!
