Not that I could wait much longer than a few hours anyway, but now I realize that I won't be able to wait and suprise my hubby on a special day. I have to get into the MW super early to make sure everything is ok(when I do get my BFP).

So has your loss taken the fun out of telling them?

I probrably won't be able to even wait for hubby to get home from work to tell him when I do get a BFP. I won't be able to hold back.

I think I'm the only one on this board that will be waiting to tell their SO. I want to make sure everything is ok and looking healthy with the baby before DH knows about us being pregnant.

No we still get just as excited. Dave is usually close by when I test, so he finds out when I do

It did take the excitement out of telling friends and family though. No one gets excited for us any more. Oh well.... it's my body, my baby, my excitement

The thing that took the fun out of it for me was that the nurse said it was inconclusive! "There's a line, so I can't say you're NOT pregnant, but it's so faint that I can't officially say that you ARE. But, personally, not professionally, I think a line is a line, so I think you are."

So I had to explain the confusion to DH. She sent me home with 2 more tests so that I could POAS later and we wouldn't have to worry about paying for a blood draw.

I can't ever wait, even if I want to. We'll still be excited, but I think it'll be cautious excitement for awhile next time around.

I was excited..and Mick was right outside the bathroom door.....all 5 times I tested, so he was just as excited......but cautious of course.

after all this it has definitely taken all the fun out of it! I will still get excited but DH says he won't be able to NOT worry until we have a healthy baby literally in our arms. But now with all that has happened, I cannot wait to tell him or the dr's . . . and I tell myself I won't tell family right away next time, but I'll be so darn excited that I know I'll tell everyone right away again!

I totally agree, I told my husband as soon as I found out (at 6w 3d) and then had to pick myself up (emotionally and physically) as well as him when we lost the twins. I would not have waited forever but I wish that I had allowed myself a week or two to make sure that everything was ok before I raced to tell him. He had a big mouth and shared with a few people that then had to be told of the m/c as well.

I would tell him straight away!
I think I really need him by my side for whatever is coming on my way
But definitely wont tell our families but only when we discover the gender of the baby!
