So I had my early u/s on Thursday, b/c of my previous m/c (I was 6w exactly according to due date calculators, but I have a 30 day cycle, so I was prolly more like 5w5d).

First of all, I was aggravated that they made the u/s THAT early. I wish they would have made it for 7 weeks instead, so that I would definitely be able to see the hb. I knew it would be too early on Thursday and that it would just stress me out more.

So the tech did the regular u/s first, and she saw the sac, but needed a better look so she did the vaginal u/s. I saw the baby inside the sac, and she said everything looked good. She tried and tried to get the hb, but finally said it was probably just a little bit too early. But I knew it would be too early, so I'm still feeling good about this pg.

But my OB clinic is only open Tues, Wed, Thurs....so I have to wait until Tuesday to call and find out if they want me to go in next week for another u/s or just wait until my regular appt on March 5th.

I'll keep you updated!

YAY for a good u/s!! It's too bad that they didn't wait so you could have the peace of mind from hearing the heartbeat but at least everything is looking great. CONGRATS!!

for a great apt. I am sorry they did the u/s so early, but the good part is you are right on track for a healthy bean. You will be listening to that sweet HB before you know it!

That's too bad it was too early to see the heartbeat. I know I will probably want to wait until later than sooner next time, to make sure baby is far enough along to see the heartbeat.

Keep us updated about your next ultrasound!

Glad everything looked good Kim, but sorry it was just a little too early to see the hb. Can't wait until you have another u/s and get to see that beautiful hb!
