Ok im 5 wks and 4 days pregnant, for some reason i have misscarriage on the brain. i dont know why. i just wanted to find out when you misscarried did you get pain and then bleed
big question which i am dreading!!! i have my 8 wk scan soon obviously and i am terrified!! i keep thinking there will be no heart beat!! what would that mean? would that mean that the baby is dead? why would i have not started bleeding? do you not bleed sometimes when you misscarry?? all these questions drown my mind...

Im so sorry you are so worried about a miscarriage, try your hardest to be positive, when you think of miscarriage, change your mind set and start looking at baby stuff, dream of the future.
When I miscarried I did not have pain or bleed, I went in for my u/s and there was no heartbeat.
AT 8 wks you will be able to see a heartbeat, unless your EDD is way off and the baby measures small, then you may not be able to see a heartbeat. But i would say majority of the time you see a nice healthy heartbeat at 8 wks, even your baby moving.

I know pregnancy is scary, but try not to stress!
I'm not sure what a babygrow is, if it is a 'cheap' heartrate monitor don't worry! They don't work very well and even a Dr.s doppler would not pick up a heartbeat yet.
Some people start bleeding before they find out, but some don't. If you were to have a m/c you would either have it at home or through surgery. Surgery you are knocked out and wake up with it all over, at home you have alot of bleeding, cramps and will 'pass' the baby/sac. I did mine at home.
However don't worry too much because you are probably worrying over nothing! If you do get bad news, come back here or goto the Pregnancy loss board and you will find more information and support.
I wish you the best of luck

I had my first US @ 6w1d and we could see the baby's heartbeat. I went back at would have been 8w5d and the baby was only at 7w2d. The baby's heart had stopped, and on the ultrasound we could see there was no heartbeat. I had no symptoms that I was no longer "pregnant". I was still carrying and my body was still thinking I was b/c my hormones were all out of whack. I opted to miscarry using Misoprostol, which induce the miscarriage. So you may not even know that your baby has no heart beat until an ultrasound. My doctor told me that naturally it could take up to 12 weeks to actually miscarry.

hopefully, you won't need to worry about any of this.
you dont always bleed right away with a m/c. I spotted with my first pregnancy from day 1 and knew something was wrong. By 8 weeks it was confirmed that I would m/c, it usually takes 2 weeks to m/c naturally...that is what I decided to do.....I actually m/c'd at home at 11 weeks.
try to stay calm ....

Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy.
Secondly, please do NOT stress over m/c. Keep taking your prenatals, keep eating well, keep doing your normal thing. If you feel that you want to just lay in bed, do it.
My m/c started with spotting, and then the next day was full blown bleeding. I was in extreme pain for about 2 days.
hun, everything will be fine!!!!
