Hey Gals,
Thought I would drop you all a line and say hello. I know I've MIA for a while but I've just been trying to stay away for a while to settle my emotions. However I have some odd news I am going off my BCP. I know I just started them but I can't stand how they make me feel. That's why I wasn't on them in the first place when I got pg with Ben. Anyway, I have been having migraines, no sex drive, and just plain irritable all the time. Not to mention I got to have a double period in the beginning so I bled for almost two weeks this last period. Anyway, Dh hates it too because we went from BDing several times a month to only two or three times this month all because of stupid BCP. It just puts too much strain on our relationship and adds to family problems. I just need more emotional stability and thought the BC would give me that but it really didn't. I guess it did help to know the possiblity of being pg is slim to none for this month but the side effects of the BC are really not worth it to me. Anyway hopefully I haven't completely jacked up my cycle now but at least I succeeded in giving myself a little break. I still won't be actively trying to conceive as I really don't have the want to be pg now like I did before. Not that I wouldn't welcome it and be excited but I would just like to make sure that my dd is in school full time and my ds completely potty trained before I take on another responsiblity. I'm just taking this time to try to find balance in my life and hoping along the way we are blessed.

Glad to see so many new pgs and wanted to say Congrats to all you gals!! Let's see who all are the new preggos. Congrats to Bobbie, yeah I'm so excited for you! Congrats Shauna, I hope this is your sticky bean with no mishaps along the way! I know there is more but I'm just not sure who, so Congrats to the rest of you as well, Tosha I think you were one!! Anyway Gl and a H&H 9 mo to all of you!!

Excited?! Why? Because you thought I was going to be TTC again?

Excited?! Why? Because you thought I was going to be TTC again? Yes BC was rough, I actually think this month was more stressful on BC than it was to get my hopes up and have them crushed. I think I can work through that emotional roller coaster especially now that I have some acceptance for it. But to deal with the headaches and irritability all month, I'll take the two days of heavy bleeding over that any day. I can manage that as long as I keep my iron intake up.

Yeah even before I saw who posted the thread or the second line I was thinking someone was going to be TTC This site has warped my brain

Yeah it certainly sounds like the cons outweighed the pros as far as the BC

Glad to hear from you!

I've always hated BC for all those reasons.. and refuse to ever get back on it. Sounds like you do have your hands full right now and you know what is best for you! You never know though, it seems like those who stop trying are always the ones it happens to first!!

Oh Courtney I am so glad you checked in with us! We miss you lots! I too had a bad time with BCP until I found one I liked (Zovia28) the other ones all made me horribly sick. Now I wonder why I even bothered cause me getting PG seems to take a miracle LMAO Maybe I finally hit my test limit.... like if I pee on 999 tests the 1000 will be a BFP?

Good luck with the potty training. Did you know there is a potty training board at JM? My son was 3 1/2 when he finally was out of diapers. I know that struggle all too well. Now he is driving! Time flies.

Sounds like once you are off the BCP you will be feeling a lot more like you. Good luck in the future.... I wish you all the best

Sorry to hear about all the problems with the BC. I was on them for about 3 years dealing with all that stuff and finally got off them even though I was onlly 17. I will never go on them again. Good luck with your cycles. Hope they get back to normal soon.
