Seriously. A little tmi but Travis and I just dtd and I tested like 15 mins after with a dollar store test. I got a very clear positive within seconds. I thought, there is no way because I actually went to have my blood drawn on Thursday and they said that my hcg was below 2. So how the heck on Sunday can I get a clear BFP so I tell myself it is just a dollar store test and whip out my new pack of FRER's. I dipped the FRER in the urine and also in a matter of seconds I got a screaming BFP. So now I am thinking how is this possible and why would my blood draw have said 2 on Thursday (3 days ago!). The only thing I can think of is that sperm causes a BFP or the lab made a big mistake. Someone help!

WTH!!!! The blood draw said 2, yet you have TWO results. Those tests don't show a positive until your levels are at 25. Either they REALLY screwed up, or you're having multiples!
Re-test in the AM, and if it's positive again, call the doc!
Good luck girl!!!

LOL Jessica. Don't joke around about multiples. Its a big fear of mine and you may make me go screaming from the room. LOL
So the only reference I found about semen affecting HPT's is here http://www.peeonastick.com/hptfaq.html#37 Question number 38. She said that it cannot affect the test results!
So I am still sporting this look ----->
Guess I'll test again tomorrow. ACK

How weird! Nope, the sperm don't have hcg, so that would not cause a bfp. I wonder if the lab made an error although usually those sort of things are pretty automated.
Is is possible you ovulated and this is a new bfp??

It's happened to me. I got screaming BFP's on 5 urine tests, and went to my doctor. My urine test there was positive, but my blood test was negative. She ordered an ultrasound and it turned out that I had a cyst on my ovary called a dysgerminoma. If it wasn't removed, it could turn cancerous, so I had it removed in September.

Hey Danica,
I have two experiences to tell you about. First, on my last pregnancy, I had a negative blood test two days before I got my BFP, so it can happen. Secondly, I also took a HPT a day before I ovulated in my October cycle, just to see if I had any HCG left after my mc and it came up postive. I was confused how I could have HCG in my system and ovulate the next day, so I asked my doc and he said that basically HPT's can act as ovulation kits too.
I hope this is it for you!! Please keep us posted!

Thanks girls. I am soooo stumped but am hoping it's like Victoria's situation. I just can't figure it. I am a little concerned about what Brandi said though so maybe I'll call the doctor tomorrow just to be on the safe side. I'll let you know how it goes. I don't know whether to celebrate or not. I am just so much more reserved this time. I don't want to get my hopes up and heart broken again. Please send me sticky, healthy, baby dust! Thanks!!!
Bye the way Stephanie, I have no idea what CD I am. I am still waiting on 1st period post m/c. I passed all the tissue on 1/22.
Victoria, was you hpt that acted like an OPK as dark as my FRER or Dollar test?

Gosh, it is hard to say. To be honest, I don't remember either of them being that dark, I think they were both pretty faint. Maybe it is multiples....
