For some reason lately I've worried about this. I read a while back that sometimes a d&c can cause scar tissue making it harder for conception. Does anyone know anything about that? Everything went fine with mine, but I still worry.

Mine was 'natural' so I don't know. I have heard that, but I don't know how often or true it is.

I am interested in the responses to this, as I had a D&C too. Hopefully someone will have some info!

I had a D&C back in Oct 06 and since it taking us sooo long to get pg again I was really worryed about scare tissue too. I ended up having fertility testing done and one of the tests was a HSG. They found no scare tissue and said that it is very very rare to get any. I would say the best thing to do would be to talk to your doctor and explain your concerns. They may suggest the HSG test. Hope this helped some.

I had a natural miscarriage also and it's taking me longer to get pregnant also.

I know there is a syndrome called Asherman's that I think it when you have scarring that impacts your fertilty. However I THINK usually it is from having multiple D&Cs, I don't think having one gives you a lot of risk for it.
