I had some itching around my vagina last night and this morning, before and after I went to the washroom. There's no burning, but there was also some thick EWCM, and it was dangling out of me, like a long tampon string.
Am I still O'ing or this that a UTI?

I wouldn't think that would be from a UTI, but I don't know. Could you still be oing?

I know that itching and burning can be signs of a UTI, and I have itching, but no burning. I've also never had such thick EWCM from a UTI before.

Maybe it's a yeast infection?

I don't think it is a UTI, the classic signs for that are burning when you pee bc the urinary tract is irritated, hence the burning sensation, and blood in the urine but you don't always bleed with a UTI. The pain is usually internal.
I would think it sounds more like either a yeast infection or vaginitis. I *think* the symptoms are pretty close, external itching + heavier CM. with vaginitis you can also get a burning sensation on the inner labia if urine touches it.
Hope that helps and whatever it is goes away soon!!!

I'm with the others, not UTI. Yeast probably however I'd wait a day. I had that at 4 DPO and itchy. Looking back, it's was probably hormonal. I had tons more EC this cycle and I guess it's a good sign.

Would using yeast cream hurt me if I didn't have a yeast, or could it hurt the baby if I did get pregnant and didn't treat it?

I don't know the answer to that, but you can buy now these little test kits to test the pH of everthing down there. According to the commercials, you match the color you get to their range of colors and that will tell you if you have a yeast infection or not. At least I think that's how the commercial goes!

I had a yeast infection when I was pregnant with DD.
My Dr said it was perfectly safe to use the over the counter medications they sell in the drugstore.

ok, this may sound weird, but use YOGURT, increase your intake and you can use it externally. Some say you can use it internally, but I'm not the brave to find out. That way if you are pg, it won't harm the baby(not saying those creams would, idk). Just start eating lots of yogurt that contains acidophilus.

definitely sounds like vaginitis or yeast infection. Yeast infections discharge will be thick like cottage cheese, fishy foul smelling, itchy. Vaginitis can be itchy with a discharge. Vaginitis can not be treated with vaginal flagyl during first trimester. They treat it during the second trimester and it has to to treated before delivery. You can use yogart with live cultures for yeast. I suggest you have your OB culture it to see what it is. You don't want untreated infections during pregnancy, some infections can affect your uterus and lead to a miscarriage.
I just found this out because I just had vaginitis. I didn't have discharge, just dry itchy feeling with pain that would shoot straight up. I had to use metrogel vaginally for five nights. I treated it immediately because, well, it can cause sex to be uncomfortable, and I was starting clomid with IUI. I didn't want to have vaginitis for 3 mo's just incase the clomid worked.
