ok this started today and dont know what to thank if i should be freaking out or what i know bad but today when i coughd i had a little bit of blood that i spit up as well. i mean i had my d&c a week ago and now this starts in. i still can barely eat anything but soups or should i say brooth. so i went ahead and called the drs. office and still waiting for them to call back and i go in today for another hcg draw so hopefully that has gone dwn and it gets back to 0 fast.

so heres my ?s

could coughing up this blood be bad?

could it mean theres a infection in there?

why is it you can only eat broths??? because your throat hurts?? i didnt have problems eating solids or even full meals a few days after my d&c...

Have you been coughing alot lately? I mean have you been sick? Why can't you eat still?

Let us know what your doctor says. I can't imagine how coughing up blood would be related to your surgery. It sounds like that could be something separate.

Are you a smoker? This happened to me once when I used to smoke alot (menthols). I have also had this when I've been sick with like bronchitis or something but it's usually mixed with mucus.

yeah thats y i can only do broths some food not much tho. cause its still sore

no not a smoker and i can eat some foods but not alot i really have to cut things small so i can eat it.

the only thing I can even think of . . . you just took methotrexate right? One of its side effects is making the blood more likely to clot. Are you having any pain? like in your lungs/shoulders? If you had a blood clot in your lungs I would think that it would HURT alot (and you would probably cough up some blood). If this is the case at all I would definitely get in to the ER!

I know what you mean about a sore throat afterward. those tubes suck! I ususally have a sore throat for 3 - 4 days afterward. I find eating Nutella straight off the spoon works pretty well. But I've never coughed up blood from that

yes i just had that shot. and no pains but throat wich is pretty much gone so i thank by morning it will be completely gone and heald more lol

lol its gone now ladies but ty all and the nurse never called back and i thank the receptionist never gave them the message cause they norm. are really good about calling back. but as of today im alot better thank goodness im so dehydrated from all this the other day when they took my blood they couldnt find a good vein but in my lower arm and that vein was ok but not the best.
