Are they supposed to detect HCG before a missed period like the FRER's? Just wondering because I am only like 6-8 DPO and I need to fulfill my need to POAS. I figure it's only a buck!

Thanks!

They're supposed to be sensitive to 25 mcg like EPT. I've never gotten a positive on one though (of course, I've only ever actually used one while actually pregnant once, and I didn't even got a bfp at the Dr's office until 3 days later...)

I was around 9DPO and got a BFN, then at 11 DPO I got a BFP.

ETA: Ok, I'm a dork I used Clear blue easy on those days...and $tree ones after that...but I say go for it, I always do!

When I was pregnant in the fall, I got a beautiful BFP, but looking back I was 14-15 dpo. I had also gotten what I thought was an evap in the evening at 11dpo, but it obviously wasn't.

Since then, I have never gotten even an evap (trust me, I've looked hard ), but I've never been pregnant again...I trust them and they're the right price!!

I've never gotten a BFP on the clinic ones, which actually happen to be the same as the Dollarama tests here. I trust my Life Brand (read: Equate for Americans). I used FRER at 6dpo this time around and got a BFN, which I expected at 6dpo. I think I'll stick with my Life Brand.

Buy either Answer or FRER for really early. Equates are exactly 25.
At 65, I still didn't get a BFP on Saturday with one.

I have used them when my HCG was 5-10 and got the lightest BFP ever. This last pregnancy there was a real line with a HCG of 29. (10dpo for me)

Hope that helps.

I used them to monitor with my IVF cycle and got a questionable line at 7DPT (10DPO) and a extremely faint line at 8DPT (11DPO) so that's when I used an Equate and got a better line. I had a few left so I tested the day before I had the blood test (HCG count came back 243) and the line on the dollar test was still faint.

When I was pregnant last October, I got a very light BFP on a DT test at 8dpo. They can be bad for evaps, though. Last month I took several of them and some had a shadow of a line and of course I wasn't pregnant. I do like them though b/c it's a cheap way to satisfy any POASA

I got a BFN at 9DPO and a faint BFP at 11 DPO... so they arent as sensitive... but they are still fun to pee on! and at 7 weeks pregnant i peed on one and the test line was darker than the control line..

Thank you all for your responses!! I used one this morning and got a BFN.... I am not too surprised though because I am only 7-9 DPO. I think I might use another one tonight! Sounds like some of you have better luck with the PM urine!! I have been feeling a little queezy on and off, but it's hard to tell because I have a cold/sinus infection.

I will keep you posted!!
