Here are some the questions I am going to ask the Dr on Friday.
1. What about Clomid or Femara (letrozole)? Whats the difference/ what ones better in my situation?
2. Why does sperm come out when I sit up? Is that normal? (sorry if TMI)
3. How do we know DH is fertile?
4. What can we do to finally get pregnant?
5. What about IUI?
6. DH's sperm count?
If you think of any other question for me to ask, I would love to hear them! I have gone blank and can't think of anymore! LOL

Did your doctor ever tell you why had 2 m/c? If it was genetic or otherwise? I'd explore all options before asking about the fertility treatments first, he/she might suggest taking some vitamins, going for a HSG, or a SA like you mentioned.
I hope my reply wasn't confusing!!!! I hope your doctor is able to help with everything!!
Good luck on Friday!!!

I am on vit and have been for over a year. I have had an HSG done and nothing was wrong. My first baby was missing its "Y" chromosome and the second one was b.c of a blood clot b.c I have a blood disorder and I am on baby aspirin for that. The only thing he hasn't done is SA b.c DH was in Iraq. We have been trying for a while with 2 losses and we just want and to find out what our options are....Thank you!

I just wanted to say that I think it is normal for the sperm to come out of you when you sit up. That is why I lay there for about 20 minutes after we dtd. There is always going to be some that leaks out, but there should be plenty there to do the trick.
What blood clotting problem do you have? I would ask about more folic acid, if he thinks you need it with the chromosome problem as well as the blood clotting issue. I take 5mg of folic now and one baby aspirin.
I would also have dh go with you and let them know what all he has been around while he was in Iraq? I know they give vaccinations to him being in the service and such, but not sure how much that plays in the ttc role.
Also there are home tests for dh's SA. I have heard about FERTELL and one other, but I cant remember the name of it. I bought one at the pharmacy and tested dh's. I don't think it as good as they do at the dr.'s office though.
I hope you get all of your answers at the dr's!

I hope I get this right...going from memory.
The stuff that come out after sex isn't the sperm. It's the fluid the sperm live in to transport them. After a guy does his thing the sperm very quickly get sucked into the cervix...and leave the fluid behind.
I hope that made sense?
I can find a link for you if you want to see a real explanation.

Well, it seems like DH sperm count is sufficient for normal insemination, but you don't know what enviromental things he could have been exposed to in Iraq. ( BTW, happy he is home safe and sound. My little brother served over there as well. ) I don't think that a semen analysis is out of order. You could have chromosomal workup done on both of you, but its pretty pricey and I don't know if insurance carries it. Something else to consider have you had current FSH, E2, progesterone and LH drawn? Do you chart your BBT (basal body temp)? I would start doing that and using OPK's immediately. You can chart with fertilityfriend.com or ovusoft. I have charted for a while and it educated me that I ovulate on CD 16 or 17 instead of the average 14. Plus, if your luteal phase is not long enough, you will not sustain the pregnancy. (thats the last 12-14 days of your cycle depending on what your normal cycle runs, I am a 30 day girl). Also keep in mind that your egg is only viable for 12-24hrs. But your window of fertility will be bigger because most people can not pinpoint exactly when they are ovulating. The sperm lives around 72 hrs, sometimes up to 5 days. Since I O on cd 16, I try to BD on cd 14, 16, and 18. Just to cover my egg. Literally! Good luck, hope all works out well.

A friend of mine thinks its normal as well...she said it happened to her too!
The blood clot disorder I have, is Factor Five. I am on baby aspirin per day and I even take two a day. I have a high dose of folic acid in my body. He said a lot of folic acid is good but too much is bad.
I will ask about that though.
Mind everyone, I have met with this doc a year ago last month. And he know DH was overseas. Dh says he wasn't around chemicals or anything harmful. And his shots were routine shots like Hep B and Small Pox and what not. But regardless he was going with me lol he has a ton of questions.
We have tested Dh's sperm with the take home kit. But we no such luck with it...lol Either we did it wrong or his sperm is low lol. So, I rather the Doc test it lol.....

Oh well that is good to know. I don't understand why you would take 2 BA's though. I have 2/ possibly 3 clotting disorders and dr. told me to only take one 81mg a day. He said that 2 isn't necessary. He also told me that it was important for me to have more folic than the average person because of the clotting factors. Its interesting to see how different dr's all over the world handle things differently.
Glad that dh wasn't around too many hazardous chemicals. I hope that the dr. will be able to answer all your questions and you get that bfp real soon.
Also I think that stuff is clear!
Bobbie, thanks I didn't think it was actually the sperm, but didn't know for sure.

DH wasn't exposed to anything harmful being overseas. We were having this problem before he left. And thank you! Its great having him home! I have had a Chromosomes work up b.c my insurance does cover that. The only thing they came up with, is I have a blood clot disorder and a huge amount of folic acid. But other then that on me everything was normal. Dh on the other hand, I know the Doc wants to do a Chromosomes workup and probably will order that Friday. I haven't had a FSH, E2, progesterone or LH drawn, but I will ask about that. The first year we were having problems I did the whole charting method. And I use OPK's all the time. I'm tired of spending money on something that I have no such luck with. By my calculations I O every 14 days and I have a perfect 28 day cycle. I BD two days if not about 4 days before O and it never fails, it doesn't work. I am doing everything text book but its not working and we have been doing that for over a year not including DH's deployment. Like I know almost everything about my cycle and how it works and what to do but its not working.... See my frustrations...lol?

Ummm, I take two on my own. Just maybe it makes feel better..... I dunno. I will talk to him about about that Friday. Since my body carries a HUGE amount of folic acid, I am scared to take anymore. B.c you already get a lot from your Prenatal Vit plus what my body already carries.....kinda makes me unsure. The last time I saw him he said that too much can be harmful. But I will talk to him about that Friday. But it crazy of how different each doc works around the world...lol
