Hi all! Just a little about myself. My name is Tori I'm 22 and SO is 25 We have lived together since I was 18. We were planning a wedding when we found out I was pregnant on Valentine's Day! What a great gift huh. We were a little shocked but really excited. We both want a big family. Well I had some spotting on Feb, 18 and didn't think much of it because the doctor had said that some women will spot throughout their whole pregnancy. I started actively bleeding on Feb, 23 and ended up miscarrying on Feb, 27 at exactly 8 weeks pregnant. Since it's my first miscarriage my doctor wants me to wait it out instead of going for a d&c, which is both physically and emotionally taking a toll on me. I'm still passing tissue, and am having to go back for blood tests every week until my HCG levels get to 0. My doctor wants to put me on BC until I can get back to TTC. So I'm hoping and praying that my body can hurry and get back to normal. I know we're still young but I've never endured anything like this in my life and I don't want anything more than to have a healthy and happy baby to hold in my arms. Anyways...I would like to get to know you ladies and your stories so feel free to post your stories and ask questions if you'd like.

Hi Tori, to the board.

I'm so sorry for your loss - it's something no one should ever have to go through. I had my m/c back in December, and it truly is an emotionally draining experience. This board is filled with so many wonderful ladies, who have been right where you are now, and they're great at listening and offering support. If you haven't already, you might also pop in on the Pregancy Loss board - that really helped me when I was going through my m/c.

I hope the TTC gets going quickly for you & your SO, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

Tori, I am sorry for you loss.
There are many wonderful women on this board that are here to help and support you on your TTCAL journey.

Like Chris suggested you should check out the Pregnancy Loss board. It was a true life saver that first month for me. The ladies there are also wonderful and supportive being that we have gone through exactly what you are experiencing right now.

Welcome Tori
I'm so sorry for your loss It is something that no one should go through. My name is Megan (29) and dh Robert (34) we have been ttc since sept 07. I also was surprised with a Valentines bfp but ended in m/c on Feb 22. I was just a little over 6w. So we are kind of in the same boat. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. Again I'm sooooooooooo sorry for your loss dear.

Hi Tori

So sorry about your loss, but I think you will find this to be a great group of wonderful, supportive women. It is so much easier knowing that all the women here have been through similar situations and really, truly understand what you are going through.

I hope that your #'s get down quickly and that you don't have to have a D&C (although I did have one and overall, it wasn't too bad). I do have one question though...why does your doctor want you on birth control until you TTC again? Are you wanting to wait for a while? Most doctors recommend waiting 1,2, or 3 cycles before trying again, but I was just wondering why he wants you on BC?

I look forward to getting to know you Tori!

Tori

So sorry for your loss. A m/c can be so emotionally and physically draining so it is nice to have the support of folks who've been there. Like others have said the the PL board was great for me and this board is awesome as well.

Good luck on your upcoming marriage and when you TTC again.

I don't know. He's just putting me on the BC until I get back to normal. I guess It's just different doctor's do different things. I think it's more or less to get my period's normal. He said I am not going to be normal for a while. Although I do wish he would of gone ahead and done the D&C, I think It would have helped me a lot because I'm still passing tissue and seeing the sac and everything in it's glory when it passed is what has killed me the most. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's awful.

Thank you all for the welcomes! I have looked at the Loss board but haven't posted anything yet. I'm looking forward to getting to know you ladies also!
