Weird Call from my Dr's office!

I got a call today from my Fertility Dr's office. And they left a message saying. "I see in your chart your husband is deployed and you know you can't pregnant with out your hubby being here, so if you can call me back and let me know that would be great!" I was like uhh ok, why else would I request a NEW referral to see him again? DUH......

Anyways, I called her back and she says when did he get back? I said Jan of this year. She said your situations a little different. You have had to two losses and your husbands been gone for a year. We just don't want you to make a trip for nothing if we can't help you. B.c he's been back for a few months and it takes time. But if you want to come and have any questions you are more then welcome....I sat there for a sec and I just said well you know Rob and I started trying from 10/05 thru the beginning of 01/07 with 2 losses and no success and once on his R&R and no success and so far with no success. She said Oh well then yea go ahead and come in and maybe he can get you started on something to help with you getting your pregnant faster. We just didn't want you to come in and us not be any help! So we'll see you friday!

I was like WTH was that all about!? Does anyone else find that weird? I mean come on...first of all I know I can't get pregnant with out Rob and second why else would I come in? WE WANT HELP! GOODNESS! LOL Besides the last time I saw him he wanted to test Rob's Chromosomes.....Did she not read my chart all the way? WOW!

I'm really sorry that this doctor is being this way. It does sound weird to me the way they are acting. I really hope you get some answers on Friday. Have you thought about maybe looking into a new doctor? One that will pay more attention to your situation?

It was his nurse. After that call I am really considering it....b/c to me that was kinda rude!

Wait, you can't get pg without him there? I'm glad she let you know that, that's probably been your problem all along.

I hope your dr can figure out a good treatment for you! That is a pretty weird phone call though, maybe she/he was just having one of those days lol

I would talk to the actual DR about that phone call when you go in. You know, file a complaint.

And second thing, if they're a FERTILITY place, why wouldn't they be able to help you?

I am really bothered about it. It like makes me think they aren't gonna help me now!

She seems to be a real winner!

Maybe she's thinking "why would they want to get pregnant and have him NOT be here during it?" Some people are so backwards they don't seem to understand.

I hope you are able to get some help from them!! I'd definitely file a complaint, like Brittanie mentioned.

I hope that the doctor has some good info for you when you both go in on friday. That's just too wierd...

That was awesome!!

Angela, if it were me, I would call another doc just in case you don't like the doc on Friday. Just bc the nurse was an idiot does not mean the doctor will be, but it might be good to have a 2nd appt already lined up if you are dissapointed with this office.
