I'm a daily lurker here. I had my 2 week post-op today from my surgery that removed my right fallopian tube (ectopic pregnancy). My Doctor said my other tube looks great and so does my uterus. She said we could start trying after my next period.

I've read that chances of another ectopic increase if you get pregnant while your insides are still healing. I didn't ask how long it would take for my insides to heal.

How long did anyone else wait to start TTC. I don't want to risk having another ectopic. (There was absolutely no reason why I had this one, I'm 25, healthy, no surgeries or infections, first pregnancy)

Thanks for any help.

And good luck and wishes to all who are TTCAL- I keep up with your stories everyday.

I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know anything about the wait after an ectpic pregnancy.

My Dr suggested we wait until your 3rd cycle to start TTC again.

Hi Bobbi! I'm glad you decided to post! I look forward to getting to know you.

Unfortunately, I don't have much input for you. I had a D&C in November and my doctor told me to wait 1 cycle to TTC again. But, as far as after an ectopic, I really don't know what to tell you...

Hope other people can give you some helpful input!

Hi, I waited 2 cycles, but I had a missed miscarriage with a complicated d&c. A good person to ask would be greenchild. I think that unfortunately, she had 2 ectopics.

I'm still waiting. But it's my DH and I's choice to wait.

Some doctors say 1 cycle, others say 3.

Hugs! I'm sorry again Bobbi! I was told to wait 3 cycles after my ectopic, but I also had a laparotomy(like a small c section cut), and I also still have both tubes. I think if you had it laproscopic it wouldn't take as long for you to heal. GOOD LUCK!!
