Hi everyone, man have I been soooo busy with work lately. I haven't had a break but I guess it is good because I've not been obsessing about the losses or ttc. So I went in to see my ob from Naden's pregnancy. I just paid her out of pocket since she isn't part of my medical plan. She was so much more helpful. She wrote up a ton of tests she wants done but just being able to talk to a doctor that cares was very reassuring. I don't think I'll do all the tests but here is her plan:

started low dose asprin once daily
1mg folic daily (I was already doing this though)
and I have to get a pap since I am overdue, UGH

1st cycle:
day 3 basal follicle us (check ovary status)
day 22 labs: FBS, TSH, PRL, CBC, ACLA IqG/IqM, chromosomes

2nd cycle:
day 3 FSH, LSH
clomid study (don't think I'll do this though)
day 10 FSH, LSH

3rd cycle:
SHG to check shape of uterine lining
HSG to check tube status (she doesn't think this is an issue since I am obviously getting pregnant)
do thyroid antibodies ? can't really read all her writing but I think that is what it says

Once I get pregnant again:
stay on low dose asprin
take erymorycin sp? until 8 weeks (antibiotic)
check progesterone when + hpt

Although she is considering my next cycle my 1st cycle I decided to cut out a month because I am too impatient and will be doing the 1st cycle tests this month. I already did the thyroid and that came back normal. I was really hoping that was the problem. I decided not to go on the pill because I didn't want to be out of whack once I stopped. I started charting and bought a bbt thermometer on the 11th. My chart is really erratic but it is because we have all been sick. And Naden went from being sick to now ear infections in both ears so I am getting hardly any sleep. That might be messing it up. Anyway, I miss you guys but I think I am going to continue to lay low for another month or two until we decide to actively ttc again.

I hope everyone is doing well and that you all get BFP's before I return!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs,
Danica

Hi Danica!!!!!

I was thinking of you earlier and wondering how you were doing! Glad you stopped by to update us (and as much as I understand your reasoning for laying low...we really miss you!!!)

As far as your doctor goes, she sounds awesome. I am so impressed with all the testing she is ordering and I hope you get some definite answers so you can get that sticky bean that you so deserve!

Hope you and Naden are both feeling better soon. Please continue to stop by once in a while and KUP!

Aww Danica!!! It is so good to here from you! I am glad you went in to see the doc that you had with Naden. Are you going to be paying for all these tests out of pocket? I trully hope you can get some done under your current insurance. We miss you around here, but understand your need to lay a little low!! MMMWWWAAAHHHH!!!

Hi Danica! Good to hear from you. You have been missed. Sounds like your original OB has a good plan. You need to dump Kaiser (it's kaiser, isn't it?) and get a different insurance carrier. I hope all goes well, and that the next time we hear from you, you will have a BFP!!

Thanks girls. I really am trying to stay positive about this all. I think the month off will do me well but of course I am in the 2ww and am now going crazy. I think I ovulated on the 13th which is a little early for me but I had some very light spotting that day. I figured I was safe to dtd on the 14th so we went ahead. Now I read that you can have spotting before you O and I thought it was only after due to the follicle popping out but what I read says it can be from a drop in estrogen prior to O so who knows. Did I ever mention that I want x ray glasses so I can just see what is going on?

Oh yeah, I forgot to attach my chart ---> http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1fa4f1

I haven't gotton crosshairs yet but I think it is because I don't have much pre-O data. You can see I discarded all early temps because they were taken with a non-bbt thermometer and I swear I would take the test, it would say one thing and immediatly after I would take it again and it would go up .3 degrees, then I would take it again and it would go down .2 degrees. I was just choosing a number somewhere in the middle. On the 11th I bought a bbt thermometer. Do you think I am safe since I have spotting on the 13th and didn't dtd till the 14th?

Stephanie, yup, crappy Kaiser. I am so going to go back to my Pacificare plan when I can change it but that is not until next November, UGH! The nice thing is that my labs are all being run through Kaiser so some of the cost is covered. Kaiser doesn't cover 100% fertitlity anything so I have to pay a larger fee but it is still reasonable. When all is said and done I'll probably have spent $200-$300 plus my $100 doctor bill. Yikes!

Jessica, I am sorry I haven't written you back yet. I did get your PM. Thanks so much for checking on me

Later,
Danica

Danica, I have missed you so much!

I am glad you went to your old doctor. I know it made you feel better since she's familiar with your situation and genuinely seems to care. And it sounds like she has a great plan in place for you!
