Just a question for those who can relate out there... I had a D&C on 2/26/08 and I think I am already pregnant I was just wondering when the dr or I could calculate the LMP? Would it date to the D&C date? I am driving myself crazy wanting to take a test NOW but am waiting until Friday, 3/28.

We conceived our 1st right away, 2 wks after going off the Pill (was on it for 11 yrs) and then MC at 8 weeks and had the D&C on 2/26. The dr told us we could try again right away and we really didn't "try" since of all the emotional turmoil we were going through, but we think it happened right away AGAIN! Which if everything is what I hope for, I will be so excited! (but cautious at the same time).

Any insight will help me relax and thank you!

First, I am so sorry for your loss.

As far as dating goes with a D&C, I think that usually the day of the D&C is considered CD1.

Hi and welcome! I am sorry you lost your little one but glad you found your way over here.

I would go with D&C as day 1 also but are you charting? Do you know when you ovulated or when you had fertile CM? If you do then I'd just count 2 weeks back from there as my LMP. Good luck with your testing on Friday. I hope you get a BFP and have a sticky bean this time.

Oh yes, one more thing. Just make sure that all the HCG from the previous pregnancy is out of your body so you don't get a false positive. The doc probably told you this by now but just to be sure (only because it happened to me). Good luck!

Tested on Friday and BFN. Sunday came and so did my period. I was disappointed but excited since I know things are going back to normal and now I can calculate my LMP.

sorry it wasn't bfp, but at least now you have your cycle back and can start over! good luck. i just had a d&c a week ago too, and am waiting for af to show up again. i have no idea when that will be.
