Just a side note that it's not just J&J that has bad chemicals. Aveeno is known to as well (owned by J&J) and numerous other brands, including Pantene.
here's a good list from 2009, so some may have altered formulas since then, but when the list was done they had cancerous chemicals in them: Toxic Ingredients in Childrens Bath Products - Unlabeled Chemicals in Childrens Shampoo - The Daily Green

I used J&J on my older kids A LOT - so I guess I screwed up with them.
I still have some J&J that we are going to finish up and then figure something out.

Layla uses Dermaveen. I have to buy it from a chemist because it's specifically for sensitive skin. I think it's chemical free as it's listed on a website that's based around reducing additives and chemicals in food/products. It's expensive (compared to others) but she gets through it so slowly.

It's not ALL J&J, just learn the ingredients and read your labels. Chances are that what you actually have is just fine. If you decide to switch brands, check those labels too.

Right now I have no idea what my older two use because my dh is in charge of their bath time, so he picks out their soap also. I think they have like four or five different kinds that he rotates through. Alex uses J&J. He will use that until dh takes over his bath time.

We use Aveeno. I'll have to look at the ingredients later. Maybe i'll consider switching to something like burts bees in the future.

I use Norwex Kids Bubble Bath on Ben and it works great! (Of course I love it since I sell it! LOL!) The only difference I have noticed is it is much thinner than the J&J's so that took some getting used to. It only has 3 ingredients: water, cherry extract and polyglycosides. $20.99/bottle but it lasts awhile as long as you know that it is thin.
Norwex

We use Parent's Choice or Suave 3 in 1. Mason still has cradle cap and the pedi told me to use Head & Shoulders for it, but I'm scared of getting that in his eyes so I don't use it.

We use Suave shampoo for kids for both girls now and Aveeno baby for the body. I'm sure the chemicals in them aren't great but it's not every day.

Amanda- We used to use Head and Shoulders for Lily. She had terrible cradle cap that extended down to her face neck as a baby. As long as we used just a teeny amount, it was easy to keep it our of her eyes. It really helped get rid of it
