Does your LO mispronounce something or call something by the wrong name that is funny?


Abri's vocabulary still has room for improvement but she does pretty good with proper names. Her funny one these days is for Mickey Mouse. Lily likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on tv. At the end of the episode they sing the Hot Dog Song. So now anytime Abri sees Mickey she calls him Hot Dog and says it over and over and over.

Her other funny saying is when she wants something, but doesn't know what it is. She ends up reaching out and saying "LEHLURLEHLURLEHLUR!!!!"

Haha, hot dog...that's funny.

Gavin calls dogs "arf arfs" and trains are "choo choos" everything seems to be called by the sound it makes.

Yesterday when I got him up I asked him what he wanted for breakfast and he said

"oatmo"- oatmeal
"vatmin" vitamin
"muak" - milk

I love how I know exactly what he's talking about 90% of the time, even if no one else does

Kolbie's not too bad when it comes to her pronunciation. She's way better than Kaija was at this age, that's for sure! But she does add -y or -ie to the end of almost everything - cuppy, milkie, owie, sockie, blankie, stuff like that. It's super cute

She's starting to string together ideas now too and I'm loving it! Yesterday she looked at me very seriously and said "Poopy. Dipey. BACK! STAY! Dipey. Back." So I said, Okay, go get a dipey then! And she did! She went to her room, got a diaper and wipes, came back to the living room and climbed onto the couch and laid down for a change! She had her little finger pointed right at me too, so apparently she pays some kind of attention when I tell them I'll be right back, stay here

Lauren says a bunch of things. Most of the day when she wants something, she'll say "peees papa" even though dad isn't home. I think it is hilarious that when she asks nicely, it's always to her papa.

I can understand about 90% of what Jed says. But he makes lots of mistakes. Like phone is "bone." Everything that looks at all like a bird is a "duck." And I love how he says his sister's name "Joo - ya."

Layla's eldest brother is Oliver and she calls him Ol-ya which I think is just so cute because she'll wake up from her sleep and say Ol-ya? And I say he's at school, and she says (all disappointed) Oh.
