I did this on another board once and i thought it was really interesting - what do you feel like you know a lot about that you can help others with if they have a question? We all have such varied backgrounds and knowledge that it could be kind of fun and we could use this as a reference post if anyone has any questions about anything they could know who to ask! I know some of you are teachers, some are good at various crafts, some are great with healthy eating, some are great with dealing with kids/sibling issues, heck some of you could be great at getting on stains etc...
And as an additional question, what is something you would like to learn more about?
For myself one of them is obviously carseats... i read about seats a lot and feel like i am fairly knowledgeable about them.. and what i dont know i know where to find out the answer. I also studied interior decorating and staging for a little while and i love that kind of thing. Dh is a comic/video game expert if anything wants to know about that stuff, lol.
I'de like to expand my cooking but i have fairly picky taste so its hard, i need to cook from scratch more instead of things that are easy like making a box of mac and cheese or something

Um...not really an expert at anything. I'm definitely an advocate of early intervention for kids who need it/might need it/get a referral. But not expert.
I can tell a mean pun, but again, not super useful. I'm interested in hearing other's though.

I don't know about expert, but natural childbirth (or just childbirth in general), including labor/delivery/techniques, etc. And breastfeeding as well. My midwives with Violet told me that I should become a midwife, and if not that, then at least a LC or doula. Maybe someday.
I'm also really good at getting stains out of clothing I let the girls wear white shirts to eat spaghetti and I always get them sparkling white again.

Does shopping for kids clothes count lol? I am quite good at getting the best deals and then reselling the mid to higher end kids clothing brands. I've only been a nurse for 6 months so I know enough about medicine to be dangerous lol.

I teach special education - so i am fairly knowledgable about disabilities and even services that kids need. I teach high school and know more about that age group but definitely know the process of a kid gettting tested and getting an IEP.
I've had a serious eating disorder so I am fairly knowledgable about that and also therapy and residential treatment. But that is not a fun thing to be knowledgable about!

I'm pretty knowledgeable on breastfeeding and cloth diapers, but by no means an expert.
I know a little about a lot of things just because I enjoy learning. I wish I could pick an area to really focus on and take it even further

Ummm.... breastfeeding, cloth diapers, and general craftiness would top my list. I'm also pretty good at interpreting charts when TTC and helping out in that arena.
Like Courtney, I wish I could pick something and go with it! I can pretty much find any answer you're looking for or I can B.S. my way to a decent version of the answer

I am known around this area as being a somewhat expert on breastfeeding, natural childbirth, cloth diapering, placenta encapsulation, baby wearing (basically all the crunchy granola stuff). Also I'm pretty well versed in Primal Eating.
Carseats are not my strong suit.

I am a chemical dependency counselor with a specialization in mental health, so I think I'm fairly knowledgeable about both of those topics . Many of my patients have co-occurring disorders of anxiety and depression so I'm knowledgeable about treatments for those. Also, I have mental health issues myself so I have a knowledge from that standpoint as well. I like to think I have a good knowledge about breastfeeding.
I love learning about anything that has to do with childbirth, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, etc. I am currently trying to learn more about fertility charting. There are so many things I want to learn more about!

I wouldn't call myself and expert by far, but I'm fairly good at photography, I guess Amateur.... how to do it yourself stuff. I'm also self taught at photo shop, but I like to edit photos. Shannon would be better than me because she is educated, but I know some about anxiety and depression because I have dealt with both my whole life and have been into therapy off and on since I was 16.
You can also add me to the group of knowing a little bit about a lot, but not a lot of one thing.
Edit to add:
DH knows quite a bit about repairs and plumbing etc. He also is one of these people who knows a little about a WHOLE lot. Some of the subjects he'd be good at are gold panning, history, pirates, body building, boxing and football!

My area of widest knowledge would probably be vegan and gluten free cooking/nutrition. I make it a point to learn new things about food every day.
I also went to dog grooming school and know a good deal about dogs in general.
DH is a Networking Engineer and I've never met anyone smarter about computers and all things tech. He's also super knowledgeable about politics.

I know alot more about TTC than most people i know. I'm always surprised by the myths about getting pregnant that people believe so i help sort that out for them I definitely don't know as much as i used to about it though, just more than the average person who just goes and has sex to get preggo. haha. I know alot about breastfeeding, cloth diapers, and car seats but not as much as some people. With car seats its mostly basic safety and always educating people about why i keep Camden RF. Most people just act like i'm crazy!!

Video games If you are looking for the right games for your kids for any age group I can help you. I know some people think games aren't good for kids, but I grew up gaming as did my father and grandfather and my children are avid gamers too and I'll tell you...we're all pretty smart people
So especially around the holidays if you want to know what games are good this year ask me. I do video game podcasts and write reviews here and there as well.
