I have an angel on top of mine. I don't remember where I got it from. I got it 7 years ago, and probably got it from wal-mart.

Depends on the year. Last year, I think I did a star on our tree and for the girls' tree I did ribbons and poinsettias around the top.

We need something this year too. The last Christmas we celebrated (didn't last year) the Star we bought was too heavy. A friend gave us a light up Angel she had for a long time after we returned the star...after 20 minutes I could smell burning plastic. We ended up with a hat that my mother bought Robert for Christmas on top. lol

I haven't ever put anything on top. I'll try to find one after Christmas at some nicer store where it will be cheaper.

We have an angel that we put at the top b/c she looks a lot like Dh's mom who passed away. It's sort of a smallish angel but when I saw it in the store a few years ago, it was so weird how much it resembled DH's mom, so I had to buy it....we use that one every year.

Here lately - I just do a bow in whatever color I decided to decorate my tree in that year. This year I have a white and black one.

We use a star. Here is the one I have, but it's from Canadian Tire, so I am pretty sure it's not in the USA.
Also, ours is multi colored blubs inside, not just blue.

I have an Angel that my Nana gave me a long time ago. She had it on her tree- I am so glad she gave it to me. I will use it until I can no longer. Its very special to me
