And if so what do you have? I'm thinking of getting dh one for Christmas but am torn between the kindle touch or nook touch...I'm leaning towards kindle but would love any insight!

You're either a Nook person or a Kindle person. I'm a Nook person! I have the Nook Color and I love it, but I can't tell you about the basic model. Hope you get what you want!

I have a Nook Simple Touch and I LOVE it! I got it this summer shortly after they came out. Mainly I wanted to be able to get books from my library and Kindle didn't have that ability yet. They do now though. I did a LOT of research and comparison shopped for a few weeks before I finally decided. I know my parents and sister like their Kindles. I know you want to get it for your DH but just so you can see the difference you can go to Best Buy and they have a huge variety of ereaders - including the full Nook and Kindle lines. I did that and decided on the Nook Touch because it was a price I wanted to pay and the size I wanted. I wasn't a huge fan of all the buttons on the Kindle Keyboard. The touch screen really appealed to me.

I have a 1st edition Nook and now a Kindle Fire. I love both! My leaning decision towards the Nook was for the library books but Kindle supports that now too.
