I know we have a few ladies that have recently made the switch from SAHM to working moms. I've been thinking about you ladies and wondering how life's been treating you all while you make the transition. I hope you all like your new jobs and that everything's going well. I'm was not a SAHM - but I was on maternity leave and came back to work last Monday. It was rough! Then just as I finish a week of work and get into the swing of things, we have all these eye issues with Julia and I am missing work to go to the hospital and for surgery next week.

Thankfully her medical issues will qualify me for FMLA so that even though my missed days are without pay - they will pay my insurance for those days so I don't get hit twice.

Needless to say, I am looking forward to Christmas break.

So far so good! I worked 5 days and now I'm off until after Christmas since we already had plans to be out of town. Luckily they were really cool about it and it helped them out since they didn't really have hours to give me until after Christmas anyway. I'm nervous because I don't get as much "practice" as everyone else, but I know I'll be fine once I get into the swing of things!

It's been a rough transition for me. I've been overwhelmed with the regular household things like dinners, laundry, putting the girls to bed after working a full day without help. DH doesn't get home until after they go to bed. Abri has cried most days when I drop her off at daycare, which makes me cry too. She is getting used to it and cries less each day, but when Lily starts at daycare after Christmas I know she'll cry too. The job is fine and the people are friendly, but I hate it.
