Today I was folding some clothes and as I was folding my son's black karate shirt, Layla said 'Olya' (Oliver) and pointed at the shirt. I said Yes Layla, that is Oliver's shirt. Then she said 'Ya!' and did a little karate kick! We all laughed (which of course she was delighted with and so we got some more 'Ya' and more kicks) and I said yes, that is Oliver's karate shirt you clever girl.

Anyone else having those moments where you notice they're aware of so much more than we probably realise?

ALL THE TIME!!! Since Didi's just now developping her vocabulary and busting out with more words (or at least we understand her more, not sure which) I'm noticing a lot of that. The other day the neighbor saw her and said ''Hi Melodie! How's it going?'' and she yelled back ''Ça va bien!'' which means ''It's going good''. I'd never heard her say that ever before! Usually if someone said hi, she'd just wave back, but she's catching on to how to start conversations...I think I'm going to have a real chatterbox on my hands when she figures out all the stuff she wants to say!

Kolbie is doing stuff like that too. I bought new deodorant today and she grabbed it from me, took off the top, and started pretending to put it on! She also likes to "put in her contacts" with my empty contact case and water.

Abri came to visit me in the bathroom while i was getting ready one day. She pointed to DH's towel on his rack and said "Tow-woo. Daddy tow-woo."

Matilda does the same thing with folding clothes...she will say Mommy's, Yotin's (logan), Daddy's...she gets them all right too. Its hysterical.
