Have any mamas with girls painted their fingernails yet? And if so, did you use regular polish or something else?

I don't paint my own but Layla found a bottle in the faraway depths of a bathroom cupboard so I painted a couple of her toenails. It was regular stuff and it always smells so bad, so I wasn't going to put it on her fingernails, because her fingers are in her mouth so often! I'm pretty sure people discussed a while ago some child friendly polish they used .

My MIL has used regular nail polish. I have some Zoya brand polish that doesn't have some of the harsh chemicals. I've also heard piggy paints is a brand without them too

I haven't, but only because I don't use polish myself. There is a brand called Piggy Paint that is non-toxic and formulated for kids.

I don't paint the girls' nails. DH thinks it's an older kid/adult thing, so I don't push the subject with him. Piggy Paints is good for kids, and there are some others out there as well.

I have painted peytons toes before with just regular polish.

Matilda asks all the time to have her toes painted. she sits down and waits until they are dry to move. We use Piggy Paint. I haven't painted her finger nails yet as they are always in her mouth

I paint Livi's toe nails with regular nail polish all the time!!

I have painted her fingernails a couple of times, and for those I use piggy paint since they are always in her mouth!

I've done rachels toes with normal paint too...but not her fingernails, there's no way she would sit through it!
