We found a genetic counselor who is familiar with EDS and wants to see both of my kids! It has taken us 3.5 years to find one. I am so relieved. Everytime I think we found someone they cancel on us and tell us they can't see us because they don't know much about EDS. This one assured me she did know about it and was eager to see both boys - not just Charlie.

That's awesome, Beth! I hope she is as knowledgeable as she says and is able to be a positive force for you and your kids. There are doctors, and then there are doctors...I've learned this from dealing with my autoimmune issues which are nowhere as rare and difficult to deal with as yours.
Will you have to wait a long time to get in to her?

We can't get in to see her until the end of April, only 6 days before Charlie's birthday (I can't believe they are turning 2!!!), but it's worth the wait to me.

That's wonderful! It is so important to have a knowledgable doc. Can't wait to hear how it goes. And keep us posted on Charlie. I am still praying for the little guy and for you and your family.
