I used Gerber training pants for both girls initially. They say they're training pants, but they are just a tiny bit thicker compared to regular underwear and they leak immediately when there is a pee accident, you will have a puddle on your floor. They're not like regular cloth training pants that could hold the urine from one accident at least. But I like them because they come in size 18 month and run a bit small, so they fit the girls well. I had to order the 18mo size from Amazon, since my Target only carried 2T and up.

Gymboree has 2T-3T size that is cut fairly small as well. Target and all those places also have packs of character underwear that my girls like, but even the 2T sizes of those tend to be big, so it took a while for them to fit. But the boy versions fit better just due to the cut...I actually bought both girls boy underwear with Sesame Street and other characters in a 2T since it fit them better when they first potty trained compared to the girl cuts.

Shelley, I want to use your potty training method for L. We are just waiting for him to start walking, because we believe that if we wait until he is, it will be easier for him to make it to the bathroom on time and for us to read his cues.
