I saw my OB today. He did an internal and said I was 1 cm and super soft and stretchy. Baby's head is engaged and really really low. My whole bottom is "swollen" from his head!
He doesn't want to have to prep my cervix because he said I'm so easily put into labor he thinks just by prepping my cervix they'll throw me into labor and then they'll be rushing to deliver me which is exactly what they are trying to avoid. He says my cervix is favorable now, but he'll make the call for sure next Tuesday after I get the results of my amnio.
He also said they most likely will put my epidural in first and then start the pitocin, which is not normal procedure, but he doesn't think putting the epidural in after is a smart idea because of how fast my labors are.
So now we wait until my amnio on Tuesday morning. I see him again on Tuesday afternoon to either discuss the induction for the following morning or discuss my options if the lungs aren't mature.
