I'm really happy to see this board! I never noticed it here before, and this subforum is great for me. I have never had a lap done to diagnose - my doctor always just told me I should just stay on birth control for the rest of my life instead of doing the lap. Well, that didn't work out being as I wanted to have children. I'm glad that I conceived when I did, because it was almost killing me to go through menstrual periods at that time. It amazingly only took 7 months off BC, but I was going back on the next month because I was missing so much work with it.
I'm also happy to know that there are other people who experience the same symptoms that I do. I have never known much about endo, and I didn't realize what the symptoms all were. I just knew that my doctor said he thought I had it but didn't want to do anything about it. So yeah, I'm happy to be here!

I'm glad you found this board. It's great having people to talk to whether you're TTC or not. Are you OK with your doctor not wanting to do anything but leave you on BC?

Oh definitely not! I had gone to 2 GYN's who said the same thing, so I stopped going to them. When I got pregnant, I talked to my midwife about it and we're going to work on it. When my next yearly comes around, we're going to talk about it again. I didn't want to do anything while nursing.

Good. It always frustrates me when women listen to their docs even if what the doc says doesn't make them happy. (im guilty of this in the past) Of course we should by no means be listened to over a doctor but between us all we have tons of experience and can probably answer a lot of questions

Hello! Welcome to the board! I'm really glad you found us!
Grr, it makes me angry when doctors make decisions about our health without listening to what we want or need. I am glad that you are not going along with what he suggested without standing up for your own decisions. Good for you! I've had doctors that have tried to force me into making certain choices and when I was younger I went along with them and always regretted it. I'm wiser now!
I'm so glad that you were able to conceive, even though it meant going through the agony of AF again. Your little boy is adorable! Are you having periods at the moment? Are they as severe as they were before you had him?

I'm too strong-willed to listen to anyone, let alone a doctor. LOL
I'm on Depo Provera and... something is wrong. I had 3 injections and was 3 weeks away from needing another when I started bleeding. First it was light, but it progress to a full-on menstrual with killer cramping. After 9 days, I had my injection again. 8 days later I started bleeding AGAIN. It's still light, but I'm starting to get cramping again and I'm just sick of it. DH's health has been beyond terrible lately (he had a heart attack on July 27, now is trying to cope with severe chronic asthma and high blood pressure - and quitting smoking), so I haven't really been paying the attention I need to on myself. I've been trying to will it away, but I think something is really wrong now.
I just had a BM, and to be honest, this is like it was before I ever conceived. I always heard that rumor that once you conceived it could leave... I guess those hopes are dashed! This is the first time I've really sat down and thought about everything, and it's just overwhelming me right now. Again, I'm just super excited to have you guys available.

I was just talking to my husband and realized that I have been bleeding all but 9 days since July 28. I'm going to call the doctor's office tomorrow and see what they can do for me. Before they told me to take Ibuprofen around the clock, but I'm just not cool with that.

(((((((hugs))))))))) Honey, I hope you were able to see your doc. Bleeding that long can't be good for you. I'd get your dog to check if you are anaemic, and to give you something to stem the bleeding. I've taken Norethisterone (sp?) twice, when I had periods that went on and on and on. I think it was a 10 day curse of tablets and it stops the bleeding after the first 2 or 3 days, but the only problem was that when I stopped taking them I started a new AF a few days later

Thanks for checking in My appointment is on the 15th of September. I've been taking prenatal vitamins (they're free at our hospital), which have plenty of iron because I was worried about anemia too. I take Ibuprofen around the clock which helps to slow the bleeding and also helps dull the cramps. I have another week and a half of this though!

I was just checking this thread to make sure I had the dates right on my chart of all this crazy bleeding, and I realized I hadn't updated you guys. On Sept 15 I was put on a week of Provera. The bleeding slowed and stopped within 5 days. I am not on any BC anymore, so now I just have to wait until my fertility returns to be able to TTC. Oh, and for DH to be ready LOL
