This is my first appointment to get some treatment started for the endo. I haven't had any surgeries but I have every symptom and all the docs I seen so far seem to agree with me. After having my daughter the doctor said he saw all the scarrings on my uterus. The pain is getting alot worse and I can't live with this anymore.

So in two weeks I go in for my first appointment.

Can anyone tell me what they will do?

I am in the same boat as you. I'm thinking about making an appointment. I talked to my doctor about my weird symptoms before I got pregnant with my son and she didn't really make too big of a deal out of it.

Did you have the pain before you had kids?

I have had the pain since I first got my period at 14. Now I'm 30. So it's a long time coming.

If your doctor isnt' taking you seriously find another. If you have Endo it IS serious.

Hi and welcome. I'm so sorry I didn't notice your post up here sooner. Are you currently TTC? As far as treatments go if you aren't TTC the doc will most likely try you on BCP first. They may try a few different kinds to see if one gives you more relief than the other. Another option would be Lupron for a little while. If you are TTC most likely the doctor will recommend surgery. When it comes to endo and treatments it depends on the doctor too. Some will go immediately to a lap. Some will let you choose. Sorry if I'm not making a whole lot of sense right now. I'm a little out of it right now anxious about my lap tomorrow

Basically your only three options are BCP, Lupron (or something similar, there's one other I can't remember the name of), and a lap.

No that's perfect, thanks very much. I'm not TTC, I have two children and I'm 100% that we're done. I was offered Lupron a few years ago but refused, I'm not too fond of the side effects from it. They really scare me, especially the brittle bones part.

Thanks very much for answering me

Good luck with your Lap!!!!!!

The side effects while I was on Lupron were nothing that I couldn't deal with BUT the brittle bones is a huge side effect. I managed to fracture my tibia doing the limbo 4 years after stopping it.
