I know several of us have had experiences with Depo and thought we should have a thread to share them.

How long were you on Depo? Did it work for you? What side effects did you have? How long did it take for your body to get back to normal after your last shot?

Wait, depo is supposed to help?! LOL I'm sure I'm an exception. I was finishing up my ninth month on the shot when I started bleeding and cramping very much bad. A month and almost a half later, I'm still bleeding and cramping. They did give me another shot of depo after 1 week, which was 2 weeks before I was scheduled to go in, and it stopped the bleeding/cramping for 8 days, but that was it. I have another week before my appointment.

I was on Depo for 3 years, and it took almost 2 years for my body to get back on "track" but then I went back on the pill, so things are "regular" now, but I know I screwed up one month, and my cycle was 54 days.... when I take the pill it's 28 on the nose...

I had my endo surgery 5 years ago, and now in the past month or so, the pains are back, so off the Dr's today, and she thinks it's back. So off to the Gyno and for ultrasounds.... I hate waiting

The Depo didn't do **** for me one way or another. I take Seasonique now, which helps, although I didn't realize it until I forgot two days of pills. OMG. I was in the ER screaming in pain with my heart rate at 128+.

I was on Depo and it made my pain everyday all day long but I don't have any cycles when I take it so I was always in pain it didn't help me at all. I had no bleeding just pain around the clock.

I used depo in my early bc years. Awful side effects long bleeding, wieght gain, chest pains, even now 10 yrs later still have sm spider veins easy bruising in my legs. Haven't used it for endo. Had lapro 8 mths ago& still undecided on next treatment option. Hope we get preg before i have to treat. Still have heavy & painful cycles but back pain has eased with chiropractic help.
