Definitely planned. We were good friends before we started dating, and talked about adopting together. We found out we were both too young and it was too expensive, so we considered actually trying for a baby. I wasn't really ready to be pregnant at the time, so the topic got pushed to the back of both of our minds. We started dating a month later and started trying shortly after we got engaged. We tried for 6 months when we finally got the positive HPT. It took 3 tests of being 100% sure I was pregnant before we got that positive one. I took another test a few weeks later just to re-assure myself (plus, we had the other left from the 2-pack) and it was still positive. We also both knew we wanted to name our first son Alexander before we even met. =)

Surprise, since we conceived two months before we had planned on starting to try! And now it couldn't have seemed to have happened at a better time!

Huge surprise.
Tried for 3 years = 2 failed IUI attempts, 14 months off work from depression as a result...Gave up and finally became content being a childless couple. Went on what we figured was the start of at least 2 great vacations a year, and came back with our little stowaway!

How about a planned surprise? LOL
Had IUD out in October. Then had some major issues (MASSIVE bleeding, clotting, anemia, and almost had to have a transfusion), then had a D & C at the end of January.
Just haven't been doing anything to prevent it!
