Ok so when my milk came in the day we got home from the hospital I was so engorged and in so much pain. And when nursing Harleigh, it just wasn't cutting it and barely relieving the pressure. So DH went out that night and got me a manual pump. The manual pump works good, but it is very tiring. The reason we got a manual is because my sister had to reorder a part for the pump she was giving me. Well the parts came in and we hook it up to find that the connector on the tubing to the machine has a crack, so it leaks air. Therefore the suction blows. I sat there for over an hour and only got 2 ounces, out of both boobs. Usually its 2 ounces each boob. So I haven't been pumping because it was frustrating me, and just BFing. Well today Ryan and I were at Target and I saw a pump that goes with the bottles we use for Harleigh (The First Years Breastflow). I was so excited that I bought it.

Let me tell you its the best pump I have used. I got 4 ounces all together in about 20 minutes. The pump has 8 suction settings, and the great thing is its a dual air tubing so each boob thing has its own line. So I can just pump one boob or both.

I am so happy about my impulsive purchase!

Glad to hear it works so well! I got one, but hardly ever used it. It did come in handy when DH and I went out one night and Charlotte had a bottle though, because without I would have been in a ton of pain.

I mainly BF Harleigh, every now and then DH will give her a bottle and let me sleep. But I would rather her have BM then formula, the formula seems to make her quite gassy. So I'll be pumping for that and so we can start freezing, for if and when I ever go back to work or when we go out.

That's great!

I breastfed Kyleigh until she was 5 months old and pumped also. Whatever I pumped, I froze and I built up a really good stash this way. Now, I just pump for her because of her refusing to latch after 5 months.

I started freezing BM today. Now that I have harleigh weaned off the nipple shield as of yesterday () my nipples are killing me and just need a break. So I've been bottle feeding her today, not too happy about it but I don't want to destroy my nips either. Last thing I need is for them to crack and start bleeding.
