I'm looking forward to hearing my baby's voice... right now I just get hints of it in his grumbles and sighs.

I wonder what his voice sounds like too. Right now he does "talk" a lot but it doesn't sound like a real voice yet.

I'm really looking forward to the day when he starts to react to me and wants to play and also when he reaches out to hug me!

OMigoodness great replies. Let me tell you.. once you hear the little one talk for the first time, you'll be overwelmed with love... but by the time they are two, you'll wish they'd stop talking...

And hugging is great, to this day (my boys are 3 & 2) and a hug from them just makes a bad day go away in an instant.

Is there anyting you have heard about, that you are not looking forward too?

I'm definitely not looking forward to tantrums. Right now I am so happy that it's not my job to discipline my child. I was a newbie teacher in the few years leading up to now, and I am so happy to have a break from discipline!!

I am looking forward to losing his first tooth! He's 5, and that so hasn't happened yet...

On the flip side of that I am NOT looking forward to pulling, wiggling, or holding his teeth as they become loose and his excitement can't be contained!!! HAHA
