OK, so Steph (your new host) asked me to come post here as a BTDT mommy... I'm Tiff, Mommy to Robbie 7, Bryce 3, and Merrick 11 months.

What is something that you're scared about being a FTM or FTMTB?

What am I NOT scared of is the question!

I'm scared of having a miscarriage or giving birth early.

I'm scared of having a child who isn't healthy.

I'm scared of childbirth.

I'm scared of being in pain and of the possibility of high blood pressure and diabetes because of my age.

I'm scared of my boyfriend not staying around.

I'm scared that I will be a bad mother.

I'm scared that I will not be able to support a child.

Scared that I will not be able to handle working and being pregnant and having a baby.

And so on and so on...

My biggest worry is balancing money/work and home life. DH and I don't do so well leaving work at work... either we have work we have to take home, or it just stays on our minds and takes over our conversations. For now I'm a SAHM, which is great, but I'm not sure how long we can afford to do this.

These are all very normal fears! I'm a SAHM so I've been fortunate enough to see all my boys' firsts.

MsMack - I had all those fears too. I know that someone telling me that things would be OK and that everything works out didn't help me but I found quickly how true that really is. Everything works out in the end! I had a preemie my first time. He's now 7 and I can tell you that going through that kind of stuff is difficult but makes you a stronger person.

Hope - You have to do what is right for your family! My DH never leaves work at work. Steph can attest to that! Again, like I said to MsMack, everything works itself out. Priorities change and it takes some getting used to.
