So I feel sort of vain, but I have always said during delivery I was not going anywhere until my hair and makeup was done! So of course my DF rolls his eyes at me and tells me to hush, but after seeing Kourtney and Rachael Zoe's birth I realize I'm not crazy and people think just like me!! Now remembering I am a FTM so I have no idea what a contraction feels like and I might just run out the house not caring what I look like as long as the baby comes out, but I have prepared my birth plan and in BOLD at the top is the duty of hair and makeup so I can look glamouros for my filmed birth LOL. Does anyone think like me or are you just in front of the screen laughing at this??? If so glad I made your day
Good luck to all of you and as always CONGRATS !!!!
I personally plan on laboring at home as long as I can [or until I've asked myself 20 times if I need to go to the hospital yet, this is my first as well!] so I think trying to find something to distract yourself with like doing hair and makeup would be a good idea! If you're not focused 100% on the pain, it won't seem as intense.
Kudos to you for letting someone film the birth! Me and my BF have this discussion about every 2 weeks, and no way in hell is he FILMING me through that process.
Though I will say in the end I doubt you'll care one bit what you look like and I wouldn't insist on hair and makeup being something that HAS to be done before you go, or you might set yourself up for disappointment [though it doesn't sound like you are!]
Congrats on both of you being on your way of being a first time mommies . Many people usually get a manicure/pedicure done before baby is born so I don't think your crazy as I'm for sure there are other people out there who do that especially after the birth first pics of the family .
Good luck with the film is it going to be part of the TLC show ?
