Is anyone going to take a birthing class?

DH and I took Lamaze. We wanted to try and do it natural. I'm really glad we took the class, because we learned so much about the whole birthing process. I had no idea. It was our first time being pregnant so we didn't know what to expext..lol..I recomend it for first time preggers as well. The more we know, I think the easier it will be when the time comes. We learned alot of breathing techniques that really came in handy. The only thing is when I was in labor and it came time for me to use them, I didn't..lol..I didn't have an epidural or meds so I did go natural, but I wish I wouldn't have focused more on my breathing. Our next baby, I will take Lamaze again and focus more on the excersises.
What is your plan? Birthing classes? Epidurals? Interesting to find out from first timers.

I take my classes starting the 2nd week of January. It includes a breastfeeding course.

We did a prenatal class that was focused mostly on childbirth. I am so glad we did, as I was a lot more clueless than I thought on the whole experience. I didn't realize that labour was such a long experience, and then when it came my time it all happened within 2 hours! *grin* Goes to show you that you can prepare for the moment and then everything changes!
I would recommend classes to any soon-to-be mom!

For sure I want to take it! And I'm waiting for my Christmas bonus so we can afford a doula!

Pretty much whenever you want. In my class there was one mom due in a week, and there were some that weren't even showing! I preferred to wait until I was close to the end so it would be fresh!

We took ours at about 7 months. The closer to the end the better, so you don't forget everything.
